When trying to setup one of my email accounts I have on Exchange I keep getting messages it can't connect to the server (I normally connect with a VPN) so this morning I went in and logged in directly on the corporate domain as a normal user would and I got the Account Wizard to find and connect, but when Outlook tries to open now I get one window that says:
The resource that you are trying to use is located on an unsupported version of Microsoft Exchange. Contact your e-mail administrator for assistance.
Another window pops up and says:
Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. The file C:\Users\me\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\*** Email address is removed for privacy *** is not an Outlook data file (.ost).
Like I said up above is I normally connect on a VPN because I'm a mobile user and often work out of various offices. Is there a fix (other than upgrading the whole company server) or a work around. I can certainly get my email on my iPhone so there should be something I can do to get Outlook 2016 to work.
Thanks.
