And after enabling a GPO to disable the "Cached Exchange Mode" for our Outlook 2010, the option to "Run Rules Now" in the Outlook Rules and Alerts seems to lock up.
Does Outlook 2010 / Exchange 2010 require the cached mode to function. I have found a reference for the features that require the cache:
Features requiring Cached Exchange Mode
As said, there are quite a number of features in Outlook 2010 that require Cached Exchange Mode in order for them to work or to work better. The most notable features are;
- Work Offline (duh, I know)
- Junk E-mail Filter
- Instant Search*
- Conversation View (Show Messages from Other Folders)
- Clean Up
- People Pane / Outlook Social Connector*
But there is nothing specific on "Rules and Alerts" and I can't find a KB to answer my question.
