Hello,
Problem: One client when he sends an email to multiple clients, the mail goes directly to the deleted items folder. However, if the client emails the clients on that list directly, they receive the mail in the inbox. The client is not sending the mail as any resource mailbox or service account, just point to multiple points.
Technicals: Outlook 2010 32 bit, using Exchange 2010, All workstations are on Windows 7 64 bit with all workstations and Exchange up to date on Windows update patches.
Diagnostics: There are no rules setup in any of the recipient client mailboxes or on exchange via Outlook Web access to send the senders mail to the deleted items folder. Also, the senders email address and domain is NOT listed as blocked senders or any other junk mail filter. I'd added the sender's SMTP to the safe senders list but it didn't change the behavior. Exchange administrators checked the email headers and found that the mail travelled as expected with no issues indicated in the headers.
Workaround: To actually get all mails to go to the inbox of the three recipients, I had to create a rule in their outlook to send all mail to Inbox.
Any ideas on this one? I was able to replicate the behavior in OWA too.
Thank you for your time,
Michele
