I am using Outlook 2010 on windows 7 64x on Comcast ISP. There is no Exchange or other software interference. I have been using it for a dozen accounts on 6 different servers. All has worked just fine for over a year. Yesterday it
stopped sending emails from any account (including an Earthlink.net account) The error is 0x80042109 Which suggests I call my server admin or ISP. Might as well suggest I contact the Almighty.
Here is what I have done:
Disabled the anti-virus
Disabled every add-in
Deleted and recreated accounts for several account I use
Checked every setting on all the accounts. (None of these changed in the past two days)
Used several webmail tests. All of which worked.
When I send a test email and it fails, when I try to delete it, Outlook shuts down and restarts.
Is there any solution to this. When I read the other cries for help, they all have the same problem, but no solution. I like the combined nature of Outlook, but it may just be time to bite the bullet and go to another email solution?
