Permantently delete/edit certain (not all) cached email addresses in Outlook 2010, (not Exchange)

I have certain email addresses that were either incorrectly typed at some point (typo's!) or where the "nickname" is in correct for that email address.

I don't need/want to turn it off altogether, I just need to be able to delete some names and edit some other names.

Why is MS forcing me to deal with these INCORRECT addresses by constantly "suggesting" them to me with every email?  Editing or deleting an address here or there seems to be such a no brainer.

As long as the incorrect nicknames and addresses are  there, Outlook won't retain a new version of the same email address and corrected nickname.  This is just unnecessary and over-the top.

Can anyone help me clean this up?

Small network, no exchange server.

THANKING YOU IN ADVANCE!
