I have been trying to figure out how to fix this problem that keeps popping up. I recently installed Outlook 2003 on a "new" Windows XP machine. It asked for a Microsoft Exchange Sever name and I did not know what to put. So I found online (in these forums, I think) that any POP3 email could work. So I used a Bellsouth email server. Now, Outlook will not open saying it cannot find the server. When this happened at first it would let me retype my server name, now it just closes and does not let me retype a server name. Then, when I press the "Work Offline" button It says "cannot find default email configuration" and shuts down without letting me fix the problem.
TL;DR: Outlook is not letting me use it.
