Unable to update GAL

Having an issue with one user who's GAL will not update. The error message when you go to download the address book is "Task 'users@email.com' reported error(0x8004010F) : 'The operation failed. An object cannot be found.'"

Things we've tried are below.

1) Turning off cache mode - no effect

2) deleting the ost - no effect

3) deleted the profile through control panel and creating a new one - no effect.

4) applied KB 2584053 suggested by Microsoft  - no effect

This user is on windows 7 and using Outlook 2010
