There are 3 IMAP email accounts. When I do a Send/Receive for All Accounts Group, it does only 4 tasks for some reason, i.e. the action covers only 2 email accounts. That is what the Outlook Send/Receiver Progress shows. For every account,
first line says sending and the second line says synchronizing subscribed folders for the account. There is no error. They are all GMails.
When I separately do the GMail accounts that doesn't work, it works fine. I select the account then inbox. Though it does 3 tasks instead of 2 unlike the All Accounts Group. The first task is sending, the second is checking new mail in subscribed folder, and the third task is check new mail in inbox. Why does it do differently? More importantly, why doesn't it happen when done in the All Accounts Group? I have checked again and again that all accounts are selected to be included in the All Accounts Group. The setup of the three accounts are identical. They are all set to download headers for subscribed folders.
Every synchronization takes some time even I do it repeatedly one after the other without a pause. I am expecting the synchronization would be very quick if nothing is changed or no new message is deleted or received. I wonder what is going on. Does it check through every message in the subscribed folders in the server?
By the way, what is the difference between Update Folder and Send/Receive?
