I have a user that is running Outlook 2010 and was trying to archive some emails to reduce the size of his mailbox. He had a brain fart (or many brain farts) and did something in his Outlook but I am not sure what he did or how he did it.
Symptoms:
1) He somehow created an ost file instead of pst file. Now I need to convert that file back to .pst. How is the best way to do this?
2) His Outlook is NOT running in cached exchange mode, but when going to Account Settings, Change, More Settings, Advanced, Outlook Data File Settings, there is an .ost file listed that is being referenced. This is causing a problem. He somehow
created it. When the user clicks on his calender it gives an error trying to reference this ost file. Of course there are no calender items in that ost file. Can I just click Disable Offline Use?
thanks already
