Outlook folder home pages

Hi All,

We're looking at publishing some web based applications via the Outlook folder home pages and we're getting mixed results across platforms and versions.

My primary issue is to do with authentication against the IIS server; regardless of the site being configured for Windows Auth (no other auth types) and working seamlessly in IE8 on Windows XP (as you'd expect), but when connecting via Outlook 2010 an authentication box is presented.  Hitting 'Cancel' will then go to the page successfully.

Under other scenarios Windows 7, Office 2010 & IE 10 as well as Windows 8, Office 2013 & IE10 are seamless.

All tests are using the same Exchange mailbox and we have no GPO's controlling the test systems.

Published information on the auth mechanisms via folder home pages in Outlook seems sketchy at best and I'm struggling to work any configuration or workarounds to alleviate this issue.

Any help and/or further information would be appreciated.

Thanks

J
