Reminders appearing for 6+ month old meetings.

I have a user who keeps having reminders show up in Outlook and his iOS devices for meetings that are 26+ weeks old.  He dismisses them, then after some time, more meetings will pop up.

Has anybody seen this issue or know how to resolve it?
