Import Problems with Outlook 2010

Hello,

I bought a new computer with windows 8 and outlook 2010 loaded.

I also have a mac system having outlook 2011 in it. 

I tried to import emails from outlook 2011 to outlook 2010, by copying the emails in a backup drive, but the emails does not import to outlook 2010.

Is there a problem with my ms office 2010 or ms office 2011 for mac or its something else.

Please help me solve this issue.
