Hi all,
We have a single PC in our environment that is have multiple issues with Outlook all of a sudden. Basically, it cannot do the following:
Use OOO wizard.
Access OWA.
Use Outlook 2007 while on our VPN.
However, Outlook still works fine while on the network (though the user gets two error messages when starting it stating that:
Autodiscover.xxxxxxx.com
Information you exchange with this site cannot be viewed or changed by others.
However there is a problem with the sites security certificate.
An unknown error has occurred.
This site should not be trusted.
There's also an identical one referring to the exchange server.
I've also determined that there is an issue with autodiscover through the test configuration utility.
I've tried many fixes that I have found such as:
Checking PreferLocalXML
ExcludeHttpRedirect
ExcludeHttpsAutodiscoverDomain
ExcludeHttpsRootDomain
ExcludeScpLookup
ExcludeSrvLookup
ExcludeSrvRecord reg entires.
Going to the autodiscover.xml page (which does not display)
Reinstalling outlook
Modifying various proxy and IE settings
Using windump to see where autodiscover packets are going (going to exchange server).
But none appear to have worked.
It is running Outlook 2007 on an XP SP3 machine (many other machines in our envirnment run this exact set-up and are fine). Exchange server is running 2007.
Logging on as a different user to the machine give the exact same issues, so it is definitely specific to the client, and not on the backend.
