proxy setting changes in outlook 2010 when using outlook anywhere

Hello,

I have the following issue with 2 clients that have office 2010. I setup the outlook anywhere within outlook just like i did on the 80 clients that run office 2007 for whom outlook anywhere works.

The clients with office 2010 need to change the proxyserver every now and then from the  .local hostname that appears to the fqdn it should be. At first I thought this was an issue with a bad setup. At first I setup my laptop with office 2007 to connect to the customers server to the mailbox of a testaccount. No issues there. Then I removed office 2007 and installed the demo of office 2010 and I could replicate the customers problem, the proxy server name is being changed to the .local hostname.

I checked the following on the server with the exchange console C:\Windows\System32>Get-OutlookAnywhere -Server mx1

ServerName                 : MX1
SSLOffloading              : False
ExternalHostname           : webmail.domain.nl
ClientAuthenticationMethod : Basic
IISAuthenticationMethods   : {Basic}
MetabasePath               : IIS://MX1.domain.local/W3SVC/1/ROOT/Rpc
Path                       : C:\Windows\System32\RpcProxy
Server                     : MX1
AdminDisplayName           :
ExchangeVersion            : 0.1 (8.0.535.0)
Name                       : Rpc (Default Web Site)

What is causing outlook to change webmail.domain.nl to m1.domain.local?

Kind regards,
Bas
