As many of you know, with Outlook 2010, Microsoft decided to do away with NK2 files for storing the Outlook nickname cache.
In the past, when your cache mysteriously disappeared, it was usually due to a corrupt outlook profile or the NK2 file itself becoming corrupt. In the case of the later, there were programs you could use to quickly repair the NK2 file and get back up and running.
With Outlook 2010, it is completely changed, and the information is stored in the auto-complete stream files.
Recently, I logged into my computer and bam, my auto-complete list was wiped out. I've been using Exchange/Outlook 2010 for over a year now and this was completely unexpected.
Search as I may, I have not been able to find any information about recovering auto-complete information.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Zak
