Delegate Access Issues - Editor Permissions

Hello,

I edited my delegate permissions to give an employee permission to edit my calendar.  I granted them Editor privileges.  When I changes their permissions, it generated a message to them saying that there permissions have been changed.  However, when they tried to add something to my calendar, they were unable to do so.  

Based on another thread, I created a new profile for myself to make these permission changes.  Any advise on why this is not working?
