The interesting thing that when i use "verify account" from the profile tab i got no errors and can send and recive test message.

No extra firewall used (only Windows, wich i tryed to disable with no effect)

Any other mail agent successfully works.

ADD : Save mode - same effect , no addons used

We are running Windows 64 –Bit, OS and Office 2010 32-bit.We have 5 Dell T3500’s and they are having connectivity issues with sending and receiving emails. The Mail Client they are connecting to be a hosted email service. The Outlook 2010 setup on the desktops is a standard IMAP configuration.

We have setup the accounts credentials on other machines, and they can send and receive emails fine. We have uninstalled Outlook 2010, and Office 2010, and have reinstalled both Office and Outlook 2010.

We are unable to delete any registry entries of the office install, and are unable to start a fresh install of Outlook 2010, without using the same old PST file that was originally created.

How can we delete all instances of Outlook 2010, after we install? How can we start a clean setup of Outlook 2010, without using the old PST file?

Thanks.

After a reboot of the exchange server due to completely locked up, outlooks 2010 is running very slow. When changing screens there is a delay or pause. Is there a fix for this?

Having trouble with OUtlooik 2010.  During regular start, program hangs up on "Processing...".  When starting in safe mode, OUtlook will come up for about 3 seconds, and then all portions of outlook (except the Calendar in the upper right corner) go black, and then grey.  This doesn't seem good.  Any ideas?

Locking Outlook 2010 attributes for all users of a shared calendar

Windows 7 - Microsoft 2010

Hi,

I have created a shared Calendar for a team of 3 people to use. I have set up that there are 4 categories/colours for appointments to indicate which of the 3 team members the appointment belongs to and a default colour for unallocated appointments.

I have given each member of the team Owner permissions and then invited them to share the calendar.

When they open the calendar up, I want the same categories/colours to come up for each member. Currently everyone's catergories come up as a default set.

Can you help me to lock or set the colours for the categories for the whole team?

Cheers, Ian.

Reply to an email with an Organizational Form

Thanks in advance for any help that comes my way regarding this;

I have recently created an organizational forms library in my home lab. Within this library of have created a number of forms; these are essentially just email messages with prepopoulated message content (templates).

I have created a custom 'choose form' button that sits next to my 'new mail' button on the outlook ribbon.

If i want to send a template to someone, I simply click the button and select the appropriate form.

My problem is responding / replying to emails with these forms.

I would like to be able to have something similar to a 'reply with form' button. Essentially allowing me to reply to an email using one of mail message templates in the organizational forms library.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated - Outlook & Exchange 2010 btw

Regards

Ben.

Hello,

My question is: Can I setup "Mark Items for deletion but do not move them automatically"automatically by GPO (I didn't see this option in ADM files), or by windows registry for all email accounts on one computer? - I need this for security purpose, because I have users that shares same departmental email address.

I have deactivated "Purge messages" by GPO.

Thank you very much!

Must have disrupted permissions or something this morning.  Cant open Outlook (2010)--file access is denied--no permission to access outlook.pst file.  Also, access to my Quicken file is also denied.  Suspect this is a Windows 7 problem, but where to go to correct?

Outlook 2007 MS Word email attachments won't open

I work in a mid sized law firm, our environment consists of Windows 7 and MS Office 2007 professional plus and exchange 2010. recently several of our users are reporting the following problem while trying to open Word (doc or docx) attachments from in Outlook.

The first time you try to open the attachment Word will open and you will get the greyish-blue background but the document never opens, the attachment may open fine on subsequent attempts or if Word is opened before hand the attachments will open without issues.

The users may also not be able to open locally saved Word documents on the first attempt as well. this appears to be profile or machine specific if the user forwards the email to another employee the attachment will open fine without exhibiting any issues. we have tried runing repair in outlook and have tried disabling any third party addins and the problem persists.

Has anyone seen this issue or have any suggestions on how to resolve it?

Thank you,

Craig

OnBase Outlook Integration

Hi. I am an OnBase Administrator. I have a user that is using Outlook Integration and when they choose to attach a file from OnBase the document retrieval window is opening up behind outlook instead of in front. This gives the user the impression that outlook is hung when really it is waiting for the user to retrieve a document. How can I correct this issue? Thank you, Shawn Robinson

From Gmail(Web) to:

MS Outlook, Gmail, Hotmail it works fine.

I'm facing this issue with both 2007 & 2010 versions of MS Office.

1. We are using Google Apps.

2. Only single mail account is configured in outlook.

3. (a) From Outlook Client (Google Apps) to:

4. Tried the below steps in both Outlook 2007 & 2010

Calendar options > When sending meeting requests over Internet, use iCalendar format (put a check mark in 2010, but in 2007 its greyed)

Also tired changing the format of Outgoing mails, still it didn't work.

In the sent items its lshowing as request. I have tried all the options, turned off the firewall and antivirus protection. Still the issue is not fixed.

I have tried it inside our Intranet and I came to know that inside also we do face the same issue. Tried sending meeting request from MS Outlook to Hotmail (my personal ID), the result was the same, request is shown as text. Tried from around 10-15 PC's, still having the same issue.

From MS Outlook (Client) to:

MS Outlook (Client) and Gmail (web) it works fine.

But with Hotmail, Yamil, Rediff its showing only text.

From Gmail(Web) to:

MS Outlook, Gmail, Hotmail it works fine.

I'm facing this issue with both 2007 & 2010 versions of MS Office. I don't know what to do.

Please help me in resolving the issue.

Thank you!

Using outlook 2010 and 2013 preview different machines same error:

Invalid Certificate

Microsoft Outlook cannot sign or encyrpt this message becauase you have no certfificates which can be used to send from your e-mail address.

Installed certificates from two different stores on two different machines when trying to send an encrypted email message the aforementioned error is given.

Why is this error being given when the certificates were issued to the email addresses the emails are attempting to send from.

Thanks,

George

Is BCM 2010 compatible with SQL 2012?  I would think so, but wanted to check first.  I've already searched the Internet with no relavent results. Thank you for your help.

Outlook 2013 IMAP folders not populating

$
0
0

Since upgrading from Outlook 2010 to 2013, IMAP folders which are sub-folders in the Inbox haven't been syncing.

They show in the folder list but they remain empty. Looking in the Sync Issues folder shows the below for each sub-folder:

16:28:27 Synchronizer Version 15.0.rup

16:28:27 Synchronizing Mailbox 'james.mcewen@daily.co.uk'

16:28:27 Synchronizing server changes in folder 'cPanel'

16:28:27 Error synchronizing folder

16:28:27                               [8004010F-0-0-560]

16:28:27 Done

The folders sync OK in other clients (ie Outlook 2010, Thunderbird etc) so it looks to be the way IMAP has been implemented in 2013.

I created a new profile and set the account up from scratch with no change.

I have found one other thread from an earlier preview version which didn't seem to be solved.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks.. James.

I am needing to change the encryption across the board on all of my Outlook clients who are not Active Directory Joined.  (Don't Ask)  I need to disable the encryption.

We have KBOX (similar to SCCM) available which can change/update registry settings for the computers in our enviornment.

Does anyone know where in the registry this setting is kept?

Hyperlinks in Outlook 2010 emails do not open browser

$

I have 2 PCs with nearly identical software configurations except for the OS.
One PC uses Windows 7 Ultimate x64, the other uses Windows 7 Home Premium x64.
Both have Office Professional Plus 2010 and Norton Security Suite 4 installed.
Both PCs have all available updates installed.

My problem is with hyperlinks contained in emals received into Outlook 2010.

On the Ultimate system, the hyperlinks work properly, that is, clicking a hyperlink opens a browser window, as expected.

On the Home Premium system, the hyperlinks don't work at all correctly.
The first time any hyperlink is clicked, a message box titled "Windows" pops up with the following content:
  Windows can't open this file.
  File: http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=LO2eh6f5Go0
To open this file, Windows needs to know what program you want to use to open it.
Windows can go online to look it up automatically or you can manually select from a list of programs that are installed on your computer.
What do you want to do?
The first option button is labeled "Use the web service to find the correct program."
The second option button is labeled "Select a program from a list of installed programs."
If I select the first option, nothing appears to happen.
If I select the second, I get a pop up with a list of apps.  I select Internet Explorer. check the box labeled "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file", click OK and the browser opens.
However, if I go back to the same email and click the same hyperlink during the Outlook session, a window pops up asking me to confirm that I want to open the link using IE.
If I click on any other hyperlink, in the same email or any other email, I get the first pop up "Windows needs to know what program..."

I didn't see any Outlook settings that would affect this behavior.

Any clues about what needs to be done to fix this very annoying behavior?

I have Outlook Express 2007. Yesterday, I started getting a popup window that kept asking me to enter my network password. I click save password and ok, but it still keeps popping up. I was getting my emails intermittently during these popups, but now, I'm not receiving any emails.
