Outlook 2016 CTR stuck at Loading Profile for more than 60 secs

Hi All,

After upgrading in house Exchange 2016 from CU5 to CU7, I noticed all Outlook 2016 CTR stuck at Loading Profile for more than 60 secs. After it is connected, everything is normal.

I have tried following steps to check:

  1. Tried with Office 2013 CTR, Outlook loads straight away.
  2. Web OWA is normal --> No problem with server.
  3. Outlook connection test is normal.
  4. Delete all profiles, add new one. Still stuck at loading.
  5. Disable Cache mode.
  6. Disabled all Add-in, Hardware graphic acceleration.
  7. Disable AV
  8. Outlook.exe /safe

Outlook.exe /safe fixes just for a day or after a few closing/opening, Loading profile comes back again.

There is no difference in term of Avg Resp, Avg Proc when Outlook loading fast & slow

I now also notice the message "Microsoft Outlook is synchronizing folders" appear and stay quite often. Rarely seen that before.

Outlook should show Starting then done. Never seen Loading Profiles message before CU7 upgrade.  CU8 is too new so I am hesitate to upgrade to it at the moment.

Could anyone give me a hint how to check and find out what is going on? Are there some settings changed on server after upgrade?

How to sync color categories in outlook mailbox

Hello,

i have 3 different computers in my company and i need to sync the color categories between them.

I have created an IMAP and a POP3 account shared between the 3 computers, but i cannot find a way to sync the categories.

My goal is to be able to flag a mail with the flag for example "order completed" on one PC and i want the others 2 PC to be able to see the flag "order completed" so that the 3 operators knows which orders their colleague have completed.

I hope i was clear on my request,

Outlook 2016/Exchange 2010 - keeps prompting for credentials

I have a user, running Outlook 2016, that suddenly is getting prompted for credentials.  This happens a minute or two after launching outlook, and then re-occurs every few minutes.  Outlook has been updated, there are no saved outlook credentials in credential manager, a new profile has been created and the prompts continue.  The strange part is that you don't need to authenticate, you can click cancel, and outlook continues to send and receive mail as normal, then several minutes later, the credential prompt pops up again, cancel and repeat.

Outlook for G Suite emails showing wrong dates

Dear folk

I migrated POP3 emails from outlook 2016 to G Suite (Gmail for business) server by using their dedicated utility ,,,,migration done successfully.

Then I set up a new IMAP G suite account on outlook,,,,all emails got downloaded from the google server

Issue are subfolders view left pane showing emails' dates as Sun 21-Jan (migration date),,,but if you open a specific email in those subfolders it is still showing the right dates,,,issue only with view

How can I rectify this issue ?

I contacted G Suite support and advised me to use another email client and I did use Thunderbird with no issue

User promted for password when outlook O365 is launched.

A user in the company I provide support for is having an issue where when he launches outlook he is prompted for his email and password, however the prompt disappears after a few seconds not leaving enough time to enter any information. Previously  the prompt would reappear and disappear again in a loop every few seconds, but as of the writing of this question the prompt will only appear once and then disappear. He is still receiving email through outlook. He is running Windows 7 Ent. with Office 365. A number of blank entries are appearing in the windows credential store as well. Any help would be appreciated.

Dear All,

I has some issue from my outlook. I am use Windows 10 1709.

When I use Outlook 2013/2016 (X64) the Signatures and Stationery and Fonts buttons are not working

I already try below but issue still happen, Please help me to fix this issue, thanks!

1. repair and reinstall outlook

2. modify register

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{0006F03A-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}\LocalServer32

  modify Default &LocalServer32 field to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15\Outlook.exe

Outlook 2016 Account Settings no longer shows me POP advanced settings

After build 1807 was installed I no longer have access to POP advanced settings. If I open accounts, select an address and select Change, I see a much simpler screen that does not have the server fields or More Settings fields.

Clicking Next just finishes the dialog, is nothing there either (unless I am overlooking something!)

I did some experimenting with VMs and pinned down that it was Build 1807 that did this. Questions:

1) If I have to change mail providers how do I alter the mail server info ? Is there any way to gain access to those fields again in Build 1807 ?

2) If not, how do I uninstall Build 1807 ? Poked around in Programs and Features, updates and did not see Office anywhere

Transfer Mails from OLM format to PST format

A few months back i switched from a PC to MAC and accordingly had to shift all my mail in Outlook that was stored on my PC to the new MAC.

The procedure was quite easy to follow through and i was able to transfer all my mail easily to my new system.

However having to again make a switch from MAC to PC, i am not able to find any such options to migrate my mail present in Outlook from MAC, back to PC.

Did they change something in Outlook for Window?? How do i get these OLM files converted to PST format??

Outlook crashes/freezes opening shared calendar appointments for specific user

Hi there

We have an issue that seems to be related to a single users calendar.

When opening their shared calendar and trying to change/edit appointments Outlook is very slow to respond and will regularly crash or hang.

It only happens for this particular user and it seems anyone who opens this shared calendar has the problem. All other users shared calendars I have tested seem fine and behave as normal.

Running Office 365 Business (local install) and Exchange 2013.

Sometime (not every time - fairly rarely actually) some errors appear:

" Sorry, we’re having trouble opening this item. This could be temporary, but if you see it again you might want to restart Outlook. The file you're attaching is bigger than the server allows. Try putting the file in a shared location and sending a link instead."

and

"Cannot save this exception to a recurring appointment, meeting, or event.  Close the items and try again. You don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation."

Permission are OK for the users and there are no attachments so I am not sure what these errors mean?

I have checked the number of items and calendar folder size in Exchange Console (Get-MailboxFolderStatistics) and it looks OK. I have compared it to other users whose shared calendars are fine.



Any advice would be great

Outlook 2016 prevent previous search popup

Is it possible to prevent search from displaying previous search results when I click on the search field? Every time I start to search, I have to click away before I can start typing my search text. I know there's an option for displaying results as I type, but that setting is different than what I'm talking about. This only started to happen in 2016 - it didn't happen in 2010 or 2013.

Can't make appointments in Calendar - operation failed

Help please

Whenever I try and make an appointment (all- day event etc) I get the message "operation failed".  I'm not trying anything fancy like invites - just a simple appointment.

So far I have disabled ALL add ins, done a quick repair and a full (online) repair but with no luck.

I'm using Office 365 on windows 7 pro

Anybody any ideas

Problems with cache email adresses in outlook 2016

Hi

I have a user, who´s outlook 2016 is deleting cached email addresses. He can write a mail in the morning to someone, and some time later same day, he want´s to wrote to the same person again, and the email address, is not in the cache.

We have not change the settings regarding, how many addresses there can be in the cache, so it is still 1000.

Any good suggestions?

Outlook.com inline images on RDS Farm

We are running a hybrid exchange environment.

Exchange 2013 on prem and O365.

All new hires are being directly added to O365 as we have begun migrating.

The problem is, we need to support both email servers in the Remote Desktop Farm.

So we offer Outlook Client to on prem email users and "new/O365" users we ask them to use outlook.com.

I have dug as deep as I can to figure out why our outlook.com users cannnot get an inline/embedded image to show regardless of browser, added trust contacts under junk mail. I do not have a way to turn of conversation mode in outlook.com from the user side.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Outlook 2013 email stuck in Outbox

Periodically we get reports from frustrated staff who are informed by a recipient that they never received an email, only to find it sitting in their Outbox. Often times simply closing and reopening Outlook resolves the issue. We're seeing this on both Win7 and 10 clients. Looking for help in determining common causes of this and proactive steps to prevent it from happening in the first place.
