we have an ongoing issue with workstations losing/reseting outlook profile randomly following windows update, when updates are installed/uninstalled on workstations we would observe event ID 29 in system event log with either or the errors below:
- The store C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook\[username].ost is being re-pushed to the indexer for the following reason: (ost is being re-pushed to the indexer for the following reason: newly created store)
The store C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook\[username].ost is being re-pushed to the indexer for the following reason: Index reset (or catalog signature changed), re-push entire store.
the behavior is observed while installing office updates that may or may not be related to outlook, and sometimes updates would be installed without any issue for months and then resurface.
Additionally, when we run Procmon to monitor its activity we would see outlook recreating the OST file after patches are applied.

we have attempted to set the value of SyncMonitorLevel to 3 (under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\x.0\Outlook\Cached Mode) and nothing seem to point us to the right direction as to what have caused this issue. I am wondering if anyone may have come across this issue before?
