So, after having at least partially recovered from being "1809ed"...
Using Outlook 1810 (11001.201808 Click-to-run) and Windows 1809 (17763.134) with a single Outlook profile.
I am using Windows 10 Enterprise in German "Deutsch (Deutschland)" with an "English (Germany)" language pack installed. My Notebook has a UK Keyboard, but I usually use an external German Keyboard, thus my language Settings
are usually "DEU DE".
When using Office since 1810 on Windows 1809, suddenly Windows just seems to switch language setting on me.
Example: E_Mail in Outlolok
When I type I am using the default text format - Calibri 11. Suddenly, upon opening a new mail, the text changes to Times New Roman (TNR) 11, and I cannot change it back. I can reformat typed text, but all new Text appears at TNR 11. I then see that the"Language Bar" has changed, without my interaction, to "ENG".
If I change the Setting back to "DEU DE", then the test remains at TNR 11.
If I then open a new E-Mail (Language Settings still DEU DE), then I'm back to Calibri 11.
I have also noticed, that in this constellation, with ENG selected and when showing TNR in the message window, Outlook is still showing Calibri in the Style settings display ribbon as "Standard"... If I click on the style settings "Standard",
the the selected text changes to Calibri - for that parabraph. If I open a new line with "Return" then I'm back to TNR, but Outlook is of the opinion that this is still "Calibri" according to the Style settings!
I can find no indication in Outlook that TNR is set as "Default" any where.
What is also now very annoying is that the automatic language detection no longer appers to work. Everything I am writing here too in this Edge session, has red squiggly lines under it. If I write German, everything
is fine, but to have English correction, I have to select the text and then select English as the language, i.e. language recognition just seems to say it all "wrong" German and is definately not working.
If I open a web Outlook session, this does not happen.
In my language bar, I have the Options:
DEU "Deutsch (Deutschland)"
DE Deutsch-Tastatur (means: German Keyboard)
DEU "Deutsch (Deutschland)"
UK ENglish (Großbritannien u. Nordirland - Tastatur (means: UK & North Ireland Keyboard)
ENG "English" (Deutschland) Deutsch-Tastatur (means: English (Germany) with a German Keyboard)
Deutsch (Deutschland) is set to the "Windows Display Language"
in the Preferred langauges list I have Deutsch (Deutschland) at the top and English (Germany), below.

It seems to me that there is a fundamental error in soime mechanism and Microsoft Needs to fixt it as all this has worked for years without any such strange behaviour and extreme inconvenience.
Any help would be welcomed!
