I am looking for a tool that can easily migrate entire
database from MS Outlook OST file format to PST file format, any suggestion to
migrate my file form OST to PST file format?
We only have the OST file and no longer the PST file for outlook 2007 application. Can you please send me some easy to use and reliable suggestions on OST to PST converters
Server 2016 is an RDS server connecting to a local exchange 2016 server.
I believe I've narrowed the issue down to a problem with Outlook 2013 installation on the RDS server, but short of completely reinstalling Office2013 I can't figure out what to do, and thought I'd ask here before I take that step.
.
.
EVIDENCE OF OUTLOOK 2013 install as ISSUE SOURCE:
Instant Search queries work fine via OWA.
Instant Search queries still work fine when connecting to the user mailboxes from my laptop and disabling cache mode.
Outlook instant search attempts from the install on the 2016 RDS instantly fail, with the Outlook client reporting simply " Outlook cannot perform your search ".
Rebuilding the 2016 RDS server's Search Index yields zero improvement ( even after 48 hours ).
Anyone have any ideas? I'm stumped.
The last windows update for MS Outlook was KB4461556 installed on 12/16/2018, but the issue wasn't reported for two full weeks following that install, and I haven't stumbled on any threads out there with my particular issue, but I may try removing that update before I blow out the installation of Office entirely.
Just hoping that someone has something better for me than those options.
Thanks!
PJ
Hello,
Please should be informed that i have a weird issues, so one user get duplicated emails from another user which he is within the same domain. the sender use Outlook 2007 with Imap configuration.
Can u please help to get rid of this issues.
If you are looking for more detail i will be availableHi,
I have email folders in outlook for O365 email account, and cached mode is enabled and set to keep only 6 months of email locally. every time I start outlook and go to email folders with old emails on the server, the message staring that there are more messages and click to connect to server is displayed but it is greyed out (inactive)
It is only enabled after I do a search in the mailbox. Connection to server is Ok because outlook is able to send/receive emails but even sending or receiving emails do not trigger that link to be enabled.
I had a set of rules in Outlook 2007 which moved incoming mail to the appropriate folder based on various criteria.
I recently upgraded to Outlook 2016 and didn't give much thought to the rules until now. They were still working as they should.
Today, I wanted to add a new rule and clicked on the Rules icon and selected Manage Rules. Lo and behold there is no sign of any rules at all!
Where are they and how are they still working?
I upgraded on my Windows 10 64-bit PC to Office 2016 32-bit. Outlook version is now 16.0.6001.1038 32-bit
I have an Outlook.com account as the default account and my 5 POP pre-existing accounts which all use the one PST file.
The rules specified that when an email was received to specific accounts, it was moved to a specific folder which is now in the Personal file - so stored in the local pst file (presumably)
Rather puzzled,
Joe
Hi,
In the old version of Outlook, such as Outlook 2010, there is a no mail mode. After installing Outlook and starting it for the first time, I may choose "No mail" mode so that I can access the main interface of Outlook without setting an email account.
However, now in Outlook 2019, when I start it, there is no such a mode. I need to provide an email account and work online(my computer has no Internet) to launch it. Is there a way to work offline and "no mail" mode?
Hi all,
first time poster so be gentle please :)
Ok, this is the setup I am stuck with
- Windows 10
- Outlook 2010/2016 clients
- Corporate Exchange Servers (not sure what version, I have no access but I think it is Exch Server 2010)
- Exchange Servers located in another country and connects via a slow 6Mb shared link :( Avg latency in the 170-220ms range
Because of this, they use Outlook in cached mode and reply on OST files. This in itself causes various stability issues, but disabling cached mode is not viable, the link back to the exchange server is too slow for the number of users (100+) and is also
used for other non e-mail traffic. I did try it just to see how bad it was and it was not usable.
Now to the point, I have to export some users mailboxes (8Gb+) in size. There are local OST files, but the export is exceedingly slow. Does anyone know if Outlook uses the local OST file when exporting or does it fetch the data from the Exchange servers?
Given the speed of the export I suspect it is not using the local OST files but I can't be sure. Does anyone have any ideas?
Also, when I start an export on large mailboxes , Outlook often becomes unresponsive and usually crashes, so I am now looking at OST to PST utilities. The product from Stellar seems to be a favorite from what I have read so far, anyone have any suggestions for alternatives or experience with Stellear's tool, or any other utility for that matter?
Regards,
Craig
The affected user opens Outlook and are prompted for the password. They enter the Password and check the box to save them, which it doesn't. Alternatively, they can close the password prompt and click on the "Need password" notice at the bottom of Outlook, which lets them into Outlook without typing a password. Either way, they are prompted for their password every few minutes. I have run a repair, removed and readded a profile, and added the suggested registry entry
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\x.0\Outlook\AutoDiscover (x.0 corresponds to the Outlook version: 16.0 = Outlook 2016)
For Outlook 2016 version 16.0.6741.2017 and later versions, please add the following
DWORD: ExcludeExplicitO365Endpoint
value 1"
Nothing seems to work so far.

I need to upgrade Outlook 2010 32-bit to Outlook 2016 64-bit. We use Cache Mode and OST files, and want to verify it will use the same OST file after the upgrade as we have <g class="gr_ gr_139 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" data-gr-id="139" id="139">alot</g> of users with large mailboxes and I <g class="gr_ gr_172 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" data-gr-id="172" id="172">dont</g> want to redownload new OST files for bandwidth concern.
Will it use the OST file from the 32-bit outlook or create a new one?

They dont use any macro's or have any macro's installed.
Making a new local outlook profile does not resolve the issue.
Hello,
Whenever a mail is sent to me and is cc'd to any group or dl in which i am there, the mail comes twice, is there any way to stop this in office 365.
When we try to copy selected contacts and paste them into Excel the business address messes up the format.
everything gets pasted fine until the address, when it gets the second line of the address (state, city, zip) that gets put at the start of the next line. so then everything after that is put on the next line.
Is there a way to have everything so up on one line?
