As the title suggests, I'd like to create a view in Outlook 2016 tasks that filters allrecurring tasks. How do I write such a query?
Thanks.

Is there any way to set everyone's calendar permission for the "My Organization" to always be "Can View titles and locations"? New accounts are defaulted to the "Can view when i'm busy" and it would nice if I didn't always have to manually change it when setting up new accounts.
Now this is a weird one for people here who like a challenge, as well help this poor soul and a frustated dozen or so people for a company that I am trying to make happy, if anyone is kind to assist!
So some people were on an older mail system that was converted from imap and onto our exchange 2016 server. They are online and all fine on OWA and the likes, no problem there.
But the weird issues come with Outlook 2016. Now when some users open the program, the delete button is greyed out and only shows or appears better when you select more than one, or use the small delete button on the right. I know of the github button that allows to edit this to have this appear normal again. However, this doesn't fix the really, really, weird issue from hell I got.
So when the person opens up outlook, they can see the messages they see at the time opened but anything after they will not. Even when you delete, the messages stay there. But when you close and open the program, the deleted messages are now gone and you see the messages again.
It's like the whole area is paused and will only flicker when you close and open.
But the solution I have found as a way around is when I open it up and do the CTRL connection status and connect, it all behaves normally and no problems, all happy until you close the program.
I did a comparison on connection status and it looks all perfectly normal pre and after pressing the button to have this working.
This is so weird and I am trying to find a way of a permanent solution on this! Anyone got any ideas or know the answer to save me and these poor sods from committing Sudoku?
All the best and love,
ZF
I had Office 365 installed and Outlook was working perfectly. I am using Windows 7
I installed Access 2003 for a legacy application, there were problems so I thought these were caused by installing this after Office 365 had been installed. I used o15-ctrremove.diagcab to remove Office 365 - however it gets stuck at end and does not complete.
I have now re-installed and uninstalled Office 365 several times. After re-installing everything is fine except for Outlook - I cannot configure an e-mail connected to my own domain in Outlook - it says SMTP settings are incorrect but they are not.
If I click on "Mail (microsoft outlook 2016)" in Control Panel it says "Application not found".
After uninstalling, the item "Mail (microsoft outlook 2016)" is still in Control Panel (I believe it is meant to be removed), clicking on it says "Application not found"
Something didn't go to the end of the Uninstall process and this is now preventing the re-install from working correctly.

Hello Experts,
I am trying to download G Suite emails in PST file, but no luck. Please tell me how can I export Google Apps emails into Outlook PST format without any failure.
I am working in an IT firm as an assistant manager, Hyderabad since 4 years. I have 21k+ emails in my G suite account. I just want to save all emails data in PST format so that I can access and read them in Microsoft Outlook account in Offline mode.
Actually, before posting this query on Social Technet, I searched for a solution on Google for same and found some threads link and paid solutions which was suggesting SysTools Google Apps Backup, Spin Backup, PCVITA G suite Backup and many more. I got confused.
So, guys please suggest me which solution should I use?
Paid solutions are also welcome.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks & Regards,

Hi all,
I am IT Support and some users have the same issues in Outlook - Office 365.
The issues is:
I already tried to:
but could not fixed issues.
Issued PCs running Windows 10 - 1803 - 64bit and MS Office 365 - 32bit ( but PCs running Windows 7 - 64bit get no problem )
Windows Search Services is still enable.
Have anyone get involved with this issue and find out the way to fix it ?
I cannot add images to get more detail.
Thank you guys.
I get a bounce email error 550. Even though the e-mail address @u***in.com & @n***ra.com can receive e-mails from anywhere except our e-mail @tri***om.com (@n***ra.com @un**in.com using MX mail.protection. outlook.com). I have tried making an email with domain @outlook.co.id and trying to send an email with @tri***om.com, the result @outlook.co.id can receive the email without getting a 550 error message from our server side, not registered as spam, blacklist and have installed TLS. why can it happen like that? can it provide a solution?
As many users may have noticed, we’ve improved the reliability and performance of Outlook search by integrating the server-side search engine in Exchange 2016 and Office 365 (Exchange Online) and leveraging this search as the default Outlook search index.
In Outlook 2013 when we search, we need to use the “Click here to view more on Microsoft Exchange” option to find more emails on the server, that’s because it searches using the local Windows Search Index and we may not have all emails cached in local and indexed. Now in Outlook 2016, search just works like a user would expect it to, without any additional configuration steps by users or admins in either Outlook 2016 or Exchange 2016. By default, Outlook 2016 will search the entire mailbox and return search results beyond what has been synced down in the local OST file.
For example, in Outlook 2016, even if you have the Sync Filter configured to sync emails of the recent 3 months as below, emails which are older than 3 months will be displayed directly in the search result, while you may need to click on “More” to show more results in Outlook 2013.
This change makes it more comfortable to use for users. As I said above, now Outlook directly provides all search results no matter how many emails you cache in local.
In addition, Windows Search Index often becomes corrupted and we have to rebuild it, while Exchange Search Index is relatively more stable.
Then there are some questions we will concern:
Yes, if the Exchange server isn’t available or when working offline, Outlook will automatically fall back to the Windows Search Index to display the Search results.
Yes, there is a registry key setting which controls this:
Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Search
Or
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Search
Value name: DisableServerAssistedSearch
Value type: REG_DWORD
Value: 1
Important: Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you modify it, back up the registry for restoration in case problems occur.
One common reason that people want to use the Windows Search Index, is that some features, like the Category and Flag, are only available when using Windows Index. By default, with the Exchange Search Index, these features are unavailable, some users are not used to it so switching to Windows Search Index is an option.

Hello all,
I would like to confirm about the new feature on exchange 2019 about do not forward meetings. For this feature, is this automatically enabled by default or should i enable it via powershell or in any other specific way? i still can't see the option on OWA actually.
thanks a lot for any idea. :)
Hi all,
Any advise/ solution for the missing "Allow Forwarding" option?
Tried to create a new ribbon but the feature is still grayed out. Thank you!
Cannot copy the items. Changes made to the item were lost due to a reconnect with the server.
Hi,
I hope I'm posting this in the correct forum.
I am running Outlook 365 using a Gmail and a Live account. Since I have shifted to use the Live account instead of my Gmail account as the data file I can't no longer use or update my rules that previously were connected to the Gmail account.
I get the error: One or several rules has been inactivated, can't upload to Microsoft Exchange. Certain parameters are not supported or there is not enough space to save all rules. (Free translation from Swedish.)
I have understood there could be many reasons to why this error occur, e.g. an Exchange limitation that I think the Live account use.
I have reduced the amount of rules but I still get this error. What more can I do to avoid the error.
Thanks!

Situation
The Customer-Users uses Outlook 2016 for Mail/Calendar
The Customer-Users uses a third party ERP Software with a integrated calendar as "main calendar" But ERP has no "wireless Sync possibility for Smartphones"
ERP have a "sync function" ERP <-> Outlook (PST/OST/MAPI)
Outlook has one one "Exchange Active Sync Account" which is connected to a "zentral active sync server called TOBIT DAVID Messaging Server, they support EAS..."
Problem: The Calendar Items from ERP doesn´t go to "TOBIT DAVID Calendar" , manually created itmes at Outlook are OK
We use TOBIT DAVID as "Messaging Backend" (Smartphone connect to it for Mail/Calendar...)
thx, best regards
Hi Everyone
Some users (approx. 5) in our Paris office say they are no longer able to type characters with circumflex accents in Outlook since the service desk remote controlled their PCs.
Normally, they would press the ^ key, which on their AZERTY keyboards is next to 'P', then press the character they would like accented.
I have remoted using SCCM Remote Control to a couple of PCs to check, but can't find anything out of the ordinary. In Word and other applications, things seem fine, but when they press the '^' key, followed by, for example 'a', they get ^a. The hat has fallen off.
Any ideas what has caused this and how to fix it? Been through all of the settings in Outlook but can't see one called 'make the hat fall off'.
A workaround seems to be holding CTRL whilst pressing ^ and then type the character to be accented, but this is all extra keys they never had to use before.
Their regional settings are set to France and the keyboard layout is set to French. Have tried removing the keyboard layout on one PC to test, but problem was still there after reinstalling it.
Running Windows 10 1709 with Office 32-bit 1808 semi-annual channel.
Haven't tried recreating user profile-seems a little OTT considering it only seems to be Outlook that's affected.
Thanks/Merci
James

Outlook 2010 (Windows 7) as of July 21 suddenly stopped providing a popup prompt to enter email password when sending mail which is option I prefer. Has worked fine for months. I am set up to download mail from a Yahoo mail server(POP3) into Outlook. Spoke with Internet Service Provider who could not resolve issue. My settings were:
Under File , Account Settings, Change, More Settings, Choose “Log into incoming mail server before sending message.”
If click on Next from this window to send a test message receive Error:Send test e-mail message: Cannot send the message. Verify the e-mail address in your account properties. The server responded: 530 authentication required - for help go tohttp://help.yahoo.com/sbc/dsl/mail/pop/pop-11.html
Also not working if under More Settings choose "Use same settings as my incoming server."
If click on Next from this window to send a test message receive Error: Task 'Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
Only choice that works to send email is if under More Settings, choose log on using: (then fill in the user name and password, check the boxes for remember password, and Require Secure Password Authentication (SPA). However, this doesn't provide the popup prompt to re-enter login and password prior to sending mail, which is what I want.
