Hi,

I'm currently testing Windows 10 2004. installation as an upgrade works perfect. Userprofile loads fine, but the outlook profile is gone and autodisover is not working. It just shows the normal welcome screen when you first start outlook and I can't connect to the mailbox.

OS: Windows 10 2004

Office: 2016

Exchange: O365

Any ideas? I have the issue on several clients with different users.

(I posted the question already in the Windows 10 IT Pro section, and someone recommended to post it here)

How do I import a .pst file for an email address that no longer exists?

The title just about says it all: How do I import a .pst file for an email address that no longer exists?

I have Outlook 365 in a Windows 10 environment.

Where's the Edit Reponse text for meeting responses?

$

When a user sends meeting invites, the responses are logged under the Tracking tab in the original meeting. In previous versions of Outlook, Tracking contained a column with any message the invitee might have added to their response. That information is no longer included in Tracking. Where is that information stored?

For instance, my colleague would respond Tentative, and add "It depends on my mood and the weather". Tentative would be listed in the response column, "It depends on my mood and the weather" would be included in a fourth column.

Outlook 2016 using O365 Email Account crashes on forwarded emails

$

We have recently moved several users in org to O365 email.  After doing so, it is common that Outlook 2016 will crash when forwarding emails with attachments when trying to send them.

There are times when forwarding attachments (pdf, excel, word, zip, etc) that the files will not appear in the forwarded message.  If you add them back in manually they will appear, but Outlook will crash after hitting the send button.  There is also no record of the email in your drafts folder, so you basically have to start over.

There are other times that Outlook will show the attachments in the forward email, but then crashes after hitting send.  Again there is no draft and users must start over.

This doesnt happen every time, but happens enough that users are reporting it.  I have tested and it happens around 3-4 times out of 10 messages.

Lookign for suggestions on how we can get MS to look at this issue.

Oulook 2013 Moving Email to Folders

$

We recently upgraded to Outlook 2013 (from Outlook 2010).

In 2010, I set up (some kind of?) shortcut that allowed me to move emails to another folder. Essentially, it was a short cut to the Move to Folder window, and all I had to do was press ALT + 1, which was a very simple combo for my left hand.

Now that we've upgraded to 2013, I have absolutely no recollection of how I created this shortcut! I've looked into macros and Quick Steps and neither seems plausible.

Anyone have any idea how I created this ALT + 1 shortcut?

Outlook 2019 (Microsoft 365) for iMac: receiving S/MIME encrypted mails

All the information I find seems to relate to creating encrypted mails. I am trying to decode *received* mails. The bank sends attached statements by email which when I open them on my iPhone (or a Windows computer with any mail client) show up as "e-statement.pdf", but in Outlook on the Mac are called "smime.p7m" which naturally can't be opened (No, it doesn't help to rename the file to "*.pdf").

I did find something about (iirc) how to import an s/mime certificate, but nothing on how to go about obtaining that certificate in the first place. Does anyone have any ideas?

Outlook 2010 - Favorites disappear

$

I just upgraded Outlook 2007 to Outlook 2010.  I had about 20 Favorites (all of them folders in various PST's).  When I opened Outlook 2010 for the first time, they initially appeared correctly (meaning: as they did in Outlook 2007) but then after Outlook finished opening, some just disappeared.  So I added them back and closed and restarted Outlook.  Same result and this time, they reordered.

So then I started Outlook from the Run Command Lin using the /resetnavpane switch.

I then added back some folders (15) and closed and restarted.

It went down to 13 folders.  Closed and restarted.

It went down to 11 folders.  Closed and restarted.

It went down to 9 folders.  Closed and restarted.

It went down to 8 folders.  Closed and restarted.

It went down to 7 folders.  Getting the picture?

I have screen shots to validate this.

Any ideas any one?

Thanks in advance.

Outlook shared mailbox showing different numbers to different users

$

Hi,

In my team we have a shared mailbox for Operational purposes, however, each of the members sees a different number of emails in the folders - in Inbox or Finished for example, so creating a report based on this data can give inaccurate results. Also, when extracting the data to an Excel, we need to correct the information from some columns, before starting the report and this is taking 2-3 hours only.

What can we do to improve the quality of the extracted data and have all the team members see the same numbers?

Thank you in advance for your time,

Daniela

Outlook 2010 with BCM

When creating a new account, is it possible that the web address field be prefilled will text?

I use the field to enter a reference to their subscription which is online.  The URL address is long and only requires the subscription number at the end to finish.  I want to have the URL string (minus the subscription number) appear when I add a new account.

Delegating Access

Hello,

My boss would like me to monitor his email while he is away on holidays.

1. He has Delegated Access for his Indox- selecting Editor (can read, create and modify items).

2. He has also gone into his Oultook and right clicked on his mailbox - opened Data File Properties and set Permissions tabs for my name with FULL permissions. (READ - Full Details, Delete Items - ALL , Write - Edit All and other- Folder Visible).

On the first day he set up permissions in step 2, I was able to view and delete an email. The next day I was only able to view.

Any idea why the full permissions setting is not sticking overnight?

Please advise what else we need to set up.

We have OUtlook 2013
