Outlook 2010 Instant Search Query Builder Missing?

I regurlarly use the Outlook 2007 Instant Search Query Builder.  This is the feature with the double drop down arrow next to the search Instant Search field.  This feature allows you to quickly narrow down the search results by specifying additional criteria.

I recently upgraded to Outlook 2010 and noticed that the instant search field no longer provides the query builder features.  Instead, everything is now integrated into the riboon.  It takes me a lot longer to customize my search through the ribbon.  Are there any tricks to getting back the query builder as it was in Outlook 2007?
