Dear all,

I encounter a craze problem with outlook. Let me give the brief at first.

I’m the IT guy and help one user upgrade his office 2003 pro to office 2010 standard ENG version, I have fully uninstalled the office 2003 and install office 2010 with standard model, after complete the installation, Other office components such as WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT are working properly, only outlook has problem, always crash when open it!

Looks it’s a normal issue with outlook, but I tried many ways to solve it still got failed result!

Please kindly check what I do

  1. Rebuild user profile
  2. Repaired office 2010
  3. Run outlook /safe              same error with normal start
  4. Run chkdsk /f
  5. Rename HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook
  6. Uninstall office 2010 standard and install office 2010 Pro
  7. Uninstall office 2010 Pro and install office 2007 Pro
  8. Uninstall office 2007 pro and reinstall office 2003 pro

Only office 2003, the Crazed Outlook would work!

Our environment is W2K3 domain, client side:  WIN 7 PRO SP1+Office 2010 Standard

Antivirus is Trend Micro Office Scan

No more 3rd party programs
