Selection lost when changing sort.

In outlook 2003 it was possible to have a multiple selection using ctrl or shift and click and then change the sort order by clicking the headers and it would retain the selection. In outlook 2010 when changing the sort order by selecting a different header (example subject/date/to/from) the selection is lost.
