Hello everybody,

   I use Outlook 2010 and have a lot of files that were digitally signed with S/MIME. The signature was valid at the time the message was created. Now, a year later the certificate used to sign the messages has expired. When I now look at theses mesages in Outlook 2010 I get a warning message that the signature is invalid.

   Well, no, it is not. The signature is perfectly valid because the certificate was valid when the message was signed.

   Outlook obviously uses the date and time of the moment when I look at the message to assess the validity of the signature. This is wrong. The correct method is to use the date and time of the moment when the message was created to assess the validity.

How can I bring this obviously wrong implementation to the attention of someone from Microsoft?

First I'd like to apologize for my bad English.

I believe that in this forum I will find help.

The problem is occurring in some Outlook 2013 H & B profiles.

Some folders, for example "sent items", have some sync problem.

I do not know what happens, but I have identified that in webmail there is missing content. For example: in outlook profile .OST everything is ok, but in webmail there is no content between the dates 2018/07/26 until 2017/07/26.

The problem begins when a user needs to switch computers. When a new profile is created, obviously the IMAP content that is on the server will be synchronized and there will be no emails from the date mentioned above.

I already talked to my email provider. They said that the Microsoft Exchange server had no problem.

To troubleshoot one of the accounts I created a new IMAP folder and uploaded the content that was missing from the server. This took a long time.

Please, does anyone know this problem? I'm afraid this problem is happening and several Outook accounts with .OST

Has the right click option been removed from this field?

We can still copy and paste, but the right click stopped working on a number of computers...

Hi all,

First time on this forum - don't know if this is the right spot.

I manage a small group of users who after updating their Outlook 2016 application no longer have "quick options" under a contact card. In particular, scheduling a meeting. They use this often because new emails from new clients come in every hour and their job is to schedule a meeting with that individual. Instead of manually opening the scheduling creator and having to save the contact, they can quickly schedule one using (CTRL + M) or in the drop down as depicted below: this is my Outlook client - I have the option for some reason, they do not. We are all on the same version?

We have Portuguese language keyboard added in Windows 10. This works perfect in Word 2016, but when the user types in Outlook (new email) it does not work.

On my outlook application on my desktop, any emails that are over a year old can't seem to be moved to my pst folders.  An error message will pop up saying that the email cannot be moved because it has been deleted or moved already. And the thing is that this only happens to emails that are over a year old, emails that are less than a year old can be moved perfectly fine.  If anyone know how to fix this, that would be great! Thanks!

I need to convert .pst files which are stored in windows outlook 2007 to .eml files, so that the emails in windows outlook could be transferred to windows live mail. Drag and drop method does not work so I am looking for other alternatives.

Its a case of urgency to me, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have not been able to configure my private email account with SSL port settings. Is anyone else having this type of issue. Using non-SSL settings gets me the 'Internet Security Warning' relative to not having a verifiable security certificate.

We're preparing to turn on Mapi over HTTP in our Exchange 2013 environment and we have a handful of Outlook 2010 SP2 installations that we cannot upgrade to 2016 at this time. I understand that we need to make sure that some prerequisites are installed to ensure connectivity for these Outlook 2010 clients. In particular, Outlook 2010 SP2 and updates KB2956191 and KB2965295 (April 14, 2015).

I believe that these updates have been superseded. I'd like to verify that my Outlook 2010 clients have the required updates, whatever they are but am stumped as to how to figure out what the latest ones are.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Hello,

I want to roll out the Report Message add-in to all of the employees in our company. However, there are a few issues:

• We have partnered with a security company that sends out simulated phishing emails to our employees. We then get the results and find out how many employees clicked on the link in the email. I do not want employees to mark those emails as phishing, because they are simulated. However, when users do get a legitimate phishing email, we want them to submit it to Microsoft.
• We have previously (and still have) set up our own distribution list where users can forward a copy of the phishing email (whether it is simulated or real). We then validate if it is real or not and then get back to the user with the results. However, we cannot forward the email to Microsoft Phishing Analysis Team because it breaks their requirements when it comes to submitting phishing emails.

To understand why both of those bullet points are considered an issue, we have to understand the requirements in order to submit phishing emails to Microsoft:

• To submit a phishing email to Microsoft, a user has to save the phishing email as a file. Then they have to create a new email, attach the file, leave the body text blank, and send that email to the Microsoft Phishing Analysis Team.
• When it comes to using the add-in option, that is really great when it comes to legitimate phishing emails. We can even set it to send a copy to us. However, we are unable to validate if the phishing email that is being reported is legitimate or simulated. The users would then report incorrect emails, which may break the test and give off wrong results.
• When it comes to forwarding the email to us, this works well because we can validate the email if it is a legitimate phishing email. However, the problem here is that the email was forwarded and the phishing email is in the body text. We cannot submit that because there was no attachment, but simply, the email was forwarded. I cannot save the copy of that email to a file because it would show the wrong sender (employee) and recipient (me) rather then the phishing email address as sender and employee as recipient.

I don't understand the requirements that Microsoft made when it comes to submitting phishing emails. That just complicates this whole process.

You used to be able to type the date and/time in scheduling assistant, hit enter and the blue scheduling bar would change accordingly. Does anybody know how to get it back?

I know you can drag the blue bar, or use the suggested times option, but these are only for 30 minutes so being able to type the time was excellent for 15 minute or less meetings. I also know you can use the drop down arrow on the start time in scheduling assistant, but to change to 15 minutes/other you must return to the appointment page and edit the time, then back to scheduling assistant.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I migrated my domain to the Cloud, portal.office.com

before i used a third party vendor for hosting my e-mail. I downloaded my e-mail through Outlook 2016.

I got 2 questions;

1-How can i let my e-mail, when it is downloaded from Microsoft cloud(portal) to my outlook, automatically be deliverd into my own pst? This could be done with pop3/imap, but the portal.microsoft.com has a cahced exchange ost(i cannot change anything there).

2- When using a w10 pc with the default W10 e-mail client, that is configured to get its e-mail from the third party vendor where the e-mail was hosted, how/where can i change the emailserver into the server necessary to download the email from portal.microsoft.com? I cannot change any server in the default mailclient from W10 nor can i export the mails into a pst.

I'm trying to use Scheduling Assistant for a meeting but I notice that one user (who has shared his calendar openly ) has all gray slashes across so that I can see no busy or free time. How can I fix this issue? Looks like we are on O365 (2013)

Hello

When I try to open some PDF attachments received via IMAP in Outlook 2013, it does not open (Adobe Reader) or its contents (other pdf readers) are not displayed correctly.
When I connect to webmail and download these same attachments PDFs via browser, they all work.
Something in IMAP synchronization between the server and Outlook is corrupting these files.

I have already tried to remove the antivirus and try to create another profile in Outlook but the errors continue.

Any idea what I can do?

We are running in to a weird issue

User Name : ABC

Machine Name : Win7_1

If user logs in to the Win7_ machine and try to configure his outlook 2010, check name completes fine, but unable to launch saying "Cannot open your default email folders, the file xxxx is not an outlook data file"

If user configures his profile on a different machine, where User XYZ has logged, working Fine

Similarly if user XYZ configures his profile on Win7_1 with the windows profile of User ABC, working fine

So the bottom line is if User ABC login as himself in any machine and configure his own outlook profile, it doesn't work

Other User Windows Profile and his Outlook Profile Works

His Windows profile, and other user outlook profile, works fine

Steps Tried:

1. Tried recreating Outlook Profile

2. Disconnected and reconnected mailbox

3. Recreated Windows user profile

I have a POP account in Outlook Mac 2016. As per the needs of my office, I need to switch to Apple Mail urgently. No email exists in my mail account server and the Outlook exports aren't imported in Apple Mail. Is there any easier way doing that?

Got a question about O365, I have a shared mailbox with multiple user. But the shared mailbox email is shows unlicensed. If I remove the shared mailbox user will it remove the users that included in the share mailbox user?
