First I'd like to apologize for my bad English.

I believe that in this forum I will find help.

The problem is occurring in some Outlook 2013 H & B profiles.

Some folders, for example "sent items", have some sync problem.

I do not know what happens, but I have identified that in webmail there is missing content. For example: in outlook profile .OST everything is ok, but in webmail there is no content between the dates 2018/07/26 until 2017/07/26.

The problem begins when a user needs to switch computers. When a new profile is created, obviously the IMAP content that is on the server will be synchronized and there will be no emails from the date mentioned above.

I already talked to my email provider. They said that the Microsoft Exchange server had no problem.

To troubleshoot one of the accounts I created a new IMAP folder and uploaded the content that was missing from the server. This took a long time.

Please, does anyone know this problem? I'm afraid this problem is happening and several Outook accounts with .OST

Hey all,

I'm a I.T. Support in a consulting company.
Most Managing Directors have the habit of having multiple reply windows opened.

Their OST file are usually loaded with contacts with thousands of contacts and calendar entries.

Recent issue with Outlook is that it freezes when there are 5+ windows opened (excluding the client and calendar itself)

RAM Usage is fluctuating around 20 - 30%, and you the main client (Outlook and Outlook Calendar) will not respond to touch.

I've also performed Office repair and tried on a newly built computer to no avail.

What could be the issue here? Or is  this a known glitch on Outlook?

Hello all,

We have an odd issue where once we enable 2FA for users in an Office 365 tenant, for some tenants, when they open Outlook after enabling 2FA, they put in their password and Outlook then prompts for the 2FA code. It works perfect.

For other tenants though, Outlook never prompts for the 2FA part. They just get the password prompt over and over again and we have to explain to them about how to generate and use an app password to get outlook to connect.

Why is this?

We would prefer if all tenants didn't need to use app passwords as it's easier for them.

One of our departments works with pst's all the time and constantly has to move messages into subfolders within the pst. In the last week, they are now getting an error message that states "Cannot move this item" when doing so. We have tested with the same pst on multiple machines and all of them give the same error. This error went away when re-downloading the pst, but is doing the same thing again today. 

We are running Windows 10 1709, and currently have updates delayed 30 days (our network team is not actively managing updates). I am suspicious that an update might have caused this issue, but cannot find any info on it. Nothing else has changed within our environment.

I am only able to retrieve up to 2000 recent records using python:

How can I get all available logs which can be millions and how can I bypass the 2000 limit ?

I have fresh installation of Outlook 365 2016 on window 10 and something very strange is happening. The body of the email is not displaying, this only happens on emails that are sent as plain text. I can see the body of the emails without a problem on the web or from iphone mail app. I have disabled all 3rd party add-ins and I don't have an antivirus other than windows defender. What could it be?

Hi, I have a user using Outlook 2016 client...

She created a series of re-occurring meetings with her team that contained various details for connecting to online meetings via vscene. She recently chose to update the series of meetings by opening the meetings via series and changing the vscene details to a weekly Microsoft teams meetings that contains the link to Teams to join the meeting. When opening the meetings in series view in Outlook you can see the new changes, however, when opening the meetings individually users still see old meeting details ie. the original vscene details that have not been changed. The same thing happens with another series of meetings the user has created where the location details/room meetings have been changed

Any ideas?

Hi all,

First time on this forum - don't know if this is the right spot.

I manage a small group of users who after updating their Outlook 2016 application no longer have "quick options" under a contact card. In particular, scheduling a meeting. They use this often because new emails from new clients come in every hour and their job is to schedule a meeting with that individual. Instead of manually opening the scheduling creator and having to save the contact, they can quickly schedule one using (CTRL + M) or in the drop down as depicted below: this is my Outlook client - I have the option for some reason, they do not. We are all on the same version?

Hello all,

I am having an issue with shared calendars in the latest build of Outlook (9330.2087 Click to run). When a user tries to accept an invitation to view a shared calendar they get an error - "There was a problem connecting you to the shared calendar. Please ask the person who invited you to send another sharing invitation."

If the same person sends an invitation to someone using build 9226.2156 the invitation works without an issue. 

It does not matter if the sender is using either build. The receiver cannot search for the calendar as it is a secondary calendar (which, for some reason Outlook will not acknowledge in a search). 

Is this a bug in the new build? If so, is there a work-around? Thanks for any insight/suggestions.

I wrote about this about a month ago, and then though the problem went away but it just re-appeared yesterday.  I am really frustrated and would really appreciate anyone’s help.

As heads up, I have tried to re-install Office 2016 completely and I have run the Office Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT) (v2.2) and it does not anything wrong.  And yes, I have a legal copy of Office Professional Plus 2016.

A strange problem has started about two months ago, and it happens randomly.

I have been running Windows 10 and Outlook 2016 and have 4 Verizon email accounts.  All are POP accounts and converted without any problems from Verizon to AOL servers about seven months ago.  I have my Outlook parameters set to delete email from server if over 90 days and/or when Deleted from "Deleted Items" inside Outlook 2016. 

For some reason, those emails that are still on the Verizon / AOL server (and already had been downloaded and read but NOT deleted), get re-downloaded onto my Outlook 2016 at random times.  This happens about once 3 weeks, and it does NOT happen to all 4 accounts at the same time.  One day it happens s to one, the next day to the other and so on.

I have double checked all of my Outlook settings and it all looks correct.   Again, you will find screenshots of my setup / problem by going here:

As you can see in the screenshot example, Outlook downloaded these on March 27, I read them, decided to keep them and for some reason, they were re-downloaded again on March 31 as new emails (but in reality, repeats). And it just happened again in my main account on April 28.

The only way that I can deal with this is when these double emails shows up, I then choose to put them into the DELETED ITEMS, meaning when it's deleted, it's gone from the SERVER too -- which kills the whole idea of having a back-up of the needed emails for 90 days on the server. 

I also check my email on my Samsung S7 phone, and I DO NOT have these re-download issues.   So, I am quite certain it's an Outlook 2016 problem?

This is happening on all 4 Verizon/AOL email accounts.

Anyone have any input as to what is happening?    And possible solutions?

Hello helpful People.

Sometime last year I created an invite which was recurring on a monthly basis with 'no end date'.  This meeting was then changed and I was asked to cancel the meeting series from my calendar, which I did by sending a cancellation from my calendar to all recipients.  However, not all of the recipients have deleted it from their diaries and I still receive notifications from them saying they can't come etc. 

We have sent new dates, so that isn't the problem, but I would like to be able to send another cancellation for the invite, but it doesn't show in my calendar anymore.

Can you help please?
