The blinding white background of Outlook 2013 is causing trouble with some of my end users. The options in Outlook only change parts of the window, but the message list and preview pane are still bright white. In my own research, I have found that when the Windows theme is changed to High Contrast Black, it changes Outlook as well. I have tried to isolate the registry settings that affect this change, but have only been successful in changing the "window" color, which still leaves the message list as white, no matter what color I change the window color to, it only changes the preview pane.
So, to spare millions of Outlook 2013 users from the headache of bright white message lists, who can identify what changing the theme to High Contrast Black does that directly affects Outlook's Message list color so Outlook 2013 users can enjoy it without
the headache? I have used registry monitoring tools to attempt to identify a registry change that does it, but it doesn't stick out.

The affected user opens Outlook and are prompted for the password. They enter the Password and check the box to save them, which it doesn't. Alternatively, they can close the password prompt and click on the "Need password" notice at the bottom of Outlook, which lets them into Outlook without typing a password. Either way, they are prompted for their password every few minutes. I have run a repair, removed and readded a profile, and added the suggested registry entry
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\x.0\Outlook\AutoDiscover (x.0 corresponds to the Outlook version: 16.0 = Outlook 2016)
For Outlook 2016 version 16.0.6741.2017 and later versions, please add the following
DWORD: ExcludeExplicitO365Endpoint
value 1"
Nothing seems to work so far.
Please can you guys look at the image included and let me know if you know what could be causing the email message to appear like this. The image through the email body is part of the signature.
I have been using the Outlook on my Windows 10 PC. Now Recently I bought a Mac Book Pro. For better email communication I want to move on to apple mail. I am using Google apps, how to transfer emails from Google apps to PST format for Outlook. Please suggest any free tool?
Hi,
I have office 2010 Pro Plus and windows 7 (64).
I have outlook .pst files which I have copied to my computer to use with outlook.
I imported them fine and they are accessable as normal and show once each.
When I do searches of my emails the searches are fine until I do 'search in all mail items', when the results come up all the emails are listed twice and some 3 times and some even 4 which makes searching difficult to work with.
I have imported 5 seperate .pst files (total 10GB) and although they may overlap on the data in them I made sure not to allow outlook to import duplicates on all.
I have tried re-installing outlook and re-importing the files but I think this just makes things worse as thats when I noticed multiple duplicates appearing.
Please also not in case its relevant that I started with a trial version of Office before buying Office 2010 Pro Plus.
I would really appreciate if someone could tell me how to remedy this problem as searching my emails is very important to me and this is really hindering my use.
Thanks v much,
Zino

E-mail file periodically sends messages to contact list. Norton Antivirus and Malware have not identified problem. Any suggestions?
Windows 10 crashed Friday night. I will need to reinstall Windows and will lose my files in the process.
I have backup that ran last on Thursday morning. In addition, I am using robocopy to copy all files that it can from the C: drive before I reinstall Windows. Crash was at 10:20 pm - I was working at the time. I took a look and the timestamps of the .pst
file in question - it is from earlier in the day. I do recall that I had accidentally closed Outlook at around 6 pm, then reopened it and continued working - matches approx the timestamp.
The email I was composing would normally be saved in Drafts folder every few minutes - but that doesn't seem to match per the time on the .pst folder. WHICH files are involved in that so I can be sure to restore those as well in order to not lose the open email message ? I also had a journal entry open that was actively timing my work.
Once I get these autosaved files back in the place they should be, how do I get Outlook to recognize the autosaved contents and merge them or prompt me to recover them ?
EDITED TO ADD: I hope it doesn't complicate further, but the majority of files on the disk were also compressed by Windows 10 as it has been preparing my upgrade to 1809...and I guess it was needing more free space than was available. Like this for a couple
of weeks saying it would be "rolling out" and would let me know when ready.
In Outlook 2010, other than DPI settings, is there a way to increase the font size of the content circled below, which appears at the top of each e-mail message you double-click to open?
I am not clear on Microsoft's instructions moving Outlook Express messages to Outlook 2010 onto a new Window 7 machine. I have located the STORE and copied the STORE folder to the desktop of the Windows 7 new computer. The instructions indicate that you should start Outlook Express on the new machine but I am not clear on how that takes place.
Can I just copy the Outlook Express folder in the PROGRAMS\OUTLOOK folder from the XP machine to the Windows 7 machine and expect it to open Outlook Express on the Windows 7 machine?
From the opened Outlook Express I am to locate the STORE that I copied ( in this caet to the Desktop) and Outlook Express on the Windows 7 machine know where to find the STORE. From there the instructions have me use the Import wizard and I assume it converts the message to Outlook 2010 format
Any clarification on this process would be appreciated.
After build 1807 was installed I no longer have access to POP advanced settings. If I open accounts, select an address and select Change, I see a much simpler screen that does not have the server fields or More Settings fields.
Prior to Build 1807:
After Build 1807:
Clicking Next just finishes the dialog, is nothing there either (unless I am overlooking something!)
I did some experimenting with VMs and pinned down that it was Build 1807 that did this. Questions:
1) If I have to change mail providers how do I alter the mail server info ? Is there any way to gain access to those fields again in Build 1807 ?
2) If not, how do I uninstall Build 1807 ? Poked around in Programs and Features, updates and did not see Office anywhere
Thanks!
