We have Yahoo calendars that share fine in Yahoo but when put into Outlook we can see only our own and the other person's is side by side but is empty and says it can't be updated. The calendar permissions tab is grayed out and we can't see how to change that. Thanks for any assistance!

Searching in Outlook results in an empty From: Collum
We are using MS Outlook 2016.
When searching for e-mails in any folder and we get the results back, the "From:" collum is empty.
We have 3 people which are having this issues.
They have the following version of Outlook: 16.0.6965.2117.
They dont use any macro's or have any macro's installed.
Making a new local outlook profile does not resolve the issue.

"Connect to server to view them" link inactive in Outlook 2016
Hi,
I have email folders in outlook for O365 email account, and cached mode is enabled and set to keep only 6 months of email locally. every time I start outlook and go to email folders with old emails on the server, the message staring that there are more messages and click to connect to server is displayed but it is greyed out (inactive)
It is only enabled after I do a search in the mailbox. Connection to server is Ok because outlook is able to send/receive emails but even sending or receiving emails do not trigger that link to be enabled.

Outlook 2010 you don’t have appropriate permission to perform this operation.
I have a user who when they go to File > Open > Open Outlook data file they get an error "you don’t have appropriate permission to perform this operation. " I've completed the following troubleshooting steps: 1) Repaired Office, 2) Created
a new Windows Profile, 3) Created a new Outlook Profile, 4) Elevated user rights to an admin, 4) Re-installed Office 2010 5) Confirmed there is no GPO or registry setting preventing me from selecting this option. This is on a Windows XP SP3

Open ost file into outlook (2013, 2016, 2010, 2007)
I want to open OST file into MS Outlook 2016, 2013, 2010 with email, calendar, contacts, notes, task including all objects. I tried manual process but doesn't open my OST file into Outlook.
- Open MS Outlook
- Click the File menu.
- Select the “Import and Export” wizard or press ‘t’.
- From the list, click the “Export to a file” option and then click Next button.
- Select Personal File Folder (.pst) and then click Next button.
- Selected items to be exported or Click on parent root and check the Include sub-folders option.
- Browse and select the target folder for saving the email items.
- Click the Finish button.

Outlook insert as text for attachment.
Hi,
We use Exchange Server 2016 mailbox servers.
We have 2 mailbox servers in DAG.
We cannot use outlook to insert as text when attaching HTML files.
I followed the below article, but no changes.

Opening Multiple Profiles at the same time
I run Office 365 which I keep updated to all current improvements and changes. I have Exchange running for my business mailboxes. I don't use Exchange for my personal mailboxes.
A long time ago I remember being able to open two instances of Outlook at the same time, each with a different profile. Can I do this with the current software? If so, how?
I am aware that I can have multiple mailboxes in a profile, which I do. For reasons of simplicity and maintaining separation of "church and state" I maintain the separation of profiles.

Outlook 2016 Search is not working
We have Office 365 Business with Windows 7 machines. Users are not able to search any thing in outlook 2016.
Outlook version is 1806 (Buid:9126.2336). I have updated outlook, rebuild index but there is no change Kindly advise.

Shared mailbox folders - can they be made unmovable???
I suspect the answer is no, but, gotta ask.
With some regularity I have issues with shared mailboxes where users will accidentally drag a folder into another folder. Uh oh, the folder "disappeared" and is "critical" to everyday life on earth - what did "I" do and please fix it. Usually, 99% of the time, easy peasy, open up OWA, open the shared mailbox, expand the folders, there it is, move it back.
Ran into 1 today though where I can't find the folder in OWA. Even searched the mailboxes of all that share the mailbox on the chance they drug it out of the share to their mailbox. No joy. I poked at the mailbox with PowerShell using Get-MailboxFolderStatistics, and there it is - drug into another folder that I can't see in OWA! Whaaaaa...t? So now what..don't know..but..weird. I'm exporting the shared mailbox to a PST, see if I can get the folder from there, but it's a big mailbox. How did they get the folder drug into another folder that can't be seen in OWA or in Outlook (connecting cached or direct)? Black hole/stealth folders!
This, of course, brought up the issue, again, of making the folders "stick" - that is, make them so they can't be moved. Any way of making them static, unmovable? What about logs, any logs showing who is doing the dragging? Could be a "training" opportunity.

Outlook freezes when responding to a specific individual
I have been using Outlook for 3+ years at this current company. 3 weeks ago a new employee arrived and any time I reply to his email, Outlook freezes. It only does this when I reply to his email, not when I initially start a conversation with him.
I need to reply to his emails as there are conversations that require direct replies vs. starting new emails repeatedly.

Hello, hotmail does this website fetch thing when sending/receiving an email. If I put in the http: version of my website it gets the right info, when I put in the https: it comes up with some other websites stuff... Nothing in the "view
source" that would indicate this... Any ideas how to fix this?

Office 2019 - Imap/Pop3 custom configuration
Hello everyone,
Yesterday we had a woman that wanted to configure an email address on Outlook 2019. This was from a luxemburgish provider pt.lu. We have to use either Imap or POP3 to configure the client.
The thing is that we needed a specific setting turned on in Outlook configuration in order to be able to use this email address. The setting is in the advanced settings > Outgoing Server > i have to check "My SMTP server
requires an authentication".
Where can i find this option on Outlook 2019 ?
I tried to configure it on outlook 2016, it's working fine with the specific options i just talked about

I am using AWS workspaces and I have Microsoft Outlook 2016 MSO (16.0.4738.1000) 32-bit as part of AWS workspace bundle.
I have configured outlook to work with AWS workmail. So it has OST files. By default, AWS workspace windows machines come with windows search disabled. I did not realise this and performed all the windows updates which installed all available updates for windows and office. After installing the updates, I configured outlook with OST files in the default location - D:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook. After configuring outlook with my emails, I found that windows search was disabled. So I went ahead and enabled it and started the service. After that I did make sure that the indexing is complete and outlook is added in windows search indexing.
Despite of doing all this, outlook search does not work. As soon as I start typing something in outlook seach box, it says "outlook cannot perform your search". When I further continue to type, it says "instant search encountered a problem while trying to display search results. Modifying your query may resolve this problem".
I have tried rebuilding the index, restarting the windows search service and did so many things that I found online as this seems to be a very common issue. But the issue does not get resolved.

Outlook module extension is not focused on after reopening Outlook
I have created the module add-in extension for Outlook and successfully installed it in Outlook 2016. The add-in a very simple one - simply pointing to some website.
When I right-click on the module and click "Open in New Window" the new Outlook window opens with my add-in.
Then I close the parent Outlook window and after that the child outlook window (with my add-in) so that Outlook is closed.
When I open the Outlook again, two windows open. But the second window, the one which should contain my add-in does not load it. The window looks like the empty mailbox with text "We didn't find anything to show here". It looks like it just does not focus on the module. If there are two modules I can make it to load by clicking on one and then on another. But If there is a single module it won't work - I can't click on it - it won't react. I have to click on something else (Mails, Calendars etc) and then on my module so it will finally load.
The New Window functionality works on Outlook restart when I open something else there, like Calendar, but modules get this behaviour.
Is this a bug? Is there some workaround for the issue?

Teams Meeting button missing in Outlook 2016 for Mac
Hi all,
I've just updated to the latest (December 2018) installation of Office for Mac, using my Office 365 subscription (corporate), on a device which already had the previous latest version installed, including with Microsoft Teams.
I understand as part of the release notes (And the "Whats' new" popup when opening outlook) that one new feature is the Teams Meeting button - however, for the life of me, I cannot seem to get it to appear. The "Skype meeting" button is there, but the equivalent for Teams does not show. I've tried the following:
- Starting Outlook first, then opening Teams.
- Starting Teams first, then opening Outlook.
- Uninstalling and restarting Teams.
- Restarting machine (fully from cold boot).
Oddly, the integration with teams is working in the Outlook Online client in Office 365 (i.e. visiting my mailbox through a browser), so it doesn't appear to be that my account is not licensed for teams etc - it just appears to be the client on Mac which does not display the meeting button correctly.
All the other changes from this update - including Dark Mode and the new Ribbon - have worked and are installed successfully.
Anyone else having this problem? I'd love to hear if someone has figured out the trick to "enable" Teams Meetings in Outlook...
