Outlook automatically adds the local domain name to sent emails

Let's say for the rest of this question that our domain is cityname.be


We occassionally have the issue that when one of our users sends a mail to an external address (let's say: address.test@hotmail.com) Outlook adds our domainname to it so it thinks the mails wants to go to address@hotmail.com@cityname.be .

This results in an error like this:

IMCEAINVALID-address+2Etest+40hotmail+2ECom@Cityname.be
Remote Server returned '550 5.1.15 RESOLVER.ADR.InvalidInSmtp; encapsulated INVALID address inside an SMTP address (IMCEAINVALID-)'

How does this happen?

How to merge multiple pst files of MS Outlook?

I am a Outlook email client, i have multiple old Outlook 2013, 2010 & 2007 PST files. I want to merge all several PST file and access in latest MS Outlook 2016 and 2013. How can i do it. I already try manual process but fails in merge pst files. Suggest me a solution that merge my multiple pst files.

linking aol mail to outlook 2007

just linked my aol mail into outlook 2007.  in order to get my mail in outlook, i have to do a manual refresh (F9).  that's ok.  then i have the mail items in aol and in outlook.  when i close aol, and reopen it, my aol inbox is empty.  i don't want to lose the messages in my aol inbox.  i want them duplicated in both places.  aol and outlook.

I installed Ms office 2011 in mac book pro a couple of days ago. I need to transfer emails from apple mail to outlook 2011. I see import option for apple mail in outlook import wizard. So hoe can I import apple mail emails in outlook without any data loss as these emails are of great importance.

How to repair pst file in Outlook 2013

I have Windows 8 and Office 2013 with Outlook. Since upgrading I seem to be having a few problems syncing my calendars (some dates will sync and others will not. I sync to a Google calendar so it keeps my phone updated)  as well as sometimes my mail will not appear (it says "no items to show") unless I close and open Outlook.

There used to be a "repair" command in Outlook, and searching for repair online it gives me several options of 3rd party add on programs. Microsoft says there is a "scanpst.exe file, but I can't find that in 2013. So how do I check and repair my pst file? It has been converted through a few Outlook updates and it is about 4 gig. I read that in older versions you should not go over 2 gig, but I have years of information so I can't see starting a new pst file and loosing everything. Suggestions??

Hi,

I am was using Microsoft Office Outlook 2013 for company emails, suddenly my computer OS got corrupted, somehow I managed to backup my email account's OST file from windows directory.

But after system reconfiguration I am unable to restore email from OST file that I have backed-up.

Please suggest process to restore emails.

How Can I Import Multiple PST Files to Office 365 Account? Please Help

Hello Experts,

I am working in a company of 300+ employees as an Assistant Manager at New Delhi. Due to some technical changes, I need to migrate all employee’s Outlook data into Office 365 account.

Problem:

“I was trying to import multiple PST files to Office 365 account manually using Network Upload. But, I couldn’t upload my PST files to O365 online. I tried thrice but still faced failure. Please suggest me How Can I upload multiple PST files into Office 365 mailbox?”

Efforts, which I did:

I searched on the web for third party application to complete my task. I found many tools such asSysTools Office 365 Import tool, Nucleus Technolgy, Mailsdady, kdetools, etc.

I got confused. So please let me know which tool should I purchase for 100% success? Because, I don’t want to take any risk with my valuable data.

Outlook will start a disconnect/trying to connect loop

Outlook will start a disconnect/trying to connect loop. Hovering over "Disconnected" in the lower right status area, a help popup will display "Click to enter password for this account". if you click it, nothing happens. No password dialog box is displayed. Going to the 'Send/Receive" tab you will see a button there: "Type Exchange Password & Connect" -- clicking this button makes it go away, and Outlook status area will show connected. New Messages waiting to be downloaded will come in. Wait a few mins, send the user an email, and outlook will then go into "Trying to connect/Disconnected" and the loop starts over.

Restarting Outlook will not fix this. Rebooting the PC will allow Outlook to work for a while, but typically within 10 to 20 mins it will fail again. Rarely it will work for a few hours.

Currently new profile is our fix. But recently some already fixed users are having the issue again after 4 days of working fine.
Our current change is to remove KB4464502. But its to early to know the results of that yet.

Outlook 2016 16.0.4834.1000 (update: KB4464502 which corrects a password issue?)
Mailbox is on Office 365 with ADFS single sign on and AD Connect
Hybrid Environment with 2010 SP3 RU20 -- all users are migrated
Windows 10 v1604 & v1709
Users: about 200 (so far) out of 9000 Outlook users -- all have same version
Autodiscover works just fine on these user's PC -- while setting up a new profile it works flawlessly.

Any ideas? Anyone see this and fix it?

How to properly backup email that is configured as IMAP?

I have setup my email account as IMAP in Outlook (2013).  What is the proper way to backup my emails locally?  If I save a copy of my OST file, and all of my emails are suddenly deleted from my server (and in-turn, Outlook), will I be able to restore my folder structure and emails from the saved OST file?

If this is not the correct process, what is?  Would I have to export my email as a PST?

How do I repair 20 Gb PST file

I have a client that has a 20GB PST file that I have been trying to transfer.  I tried PST scan and that didn't work.  I tried using 3rd party software to split the file, but it says it is corrupted.
This has been a ongoing issue for 1 month.
Please help!

trying to block new waves of junk email from *.co***te.a***aws.com. Set up a rule to delete message when from address contains "co***te.a***s.com" but it's not working at all. No other rules. Any suggestions?

Why is Outlolok asking for Microsoft account during setup of Exchange account in Outlook 2019 VL?

This problem is occurring in Outlook 2019 Standard (VL).  I tested it in retail Outlook 2019, retail 2016, and VL 2016, and it works normally.  It also works in all of these with a pop account, this is only happening with an Exchange account.

The problem is, when I try to set up my email in control panel - mail, or when running outlook the first time, when I get to the part where I would normally see a windows credentials prompt, (like I do in all the other versions), I get a Microsoft account prompt, which tells me my password is wrong.  Even when I changed the Microsoft account password to match my Exchange one, I end up getting an error indicating that no connection to the server can be made.

I tried it on a clean install of Windows 10, with nothing other than Outlook 2019 VL installed, and I can't get it to work.

I tried it on multiple computers with 7 and 10, using Outlook 2019 retail, and Outlook 2016 retail and VL, and it works properly every time.

Anyone see this before?  Thanks for your help!

Good day

We are experiancing a error when using a 365 email account on multiple PCs, yet only one PC is etting this error

"Conflict message"

Details of email

message "Conflicting edits have been made to the same item. To resole this conflict, select the item in the list below you wish to keep and then choose "Keep This Item", or choose "Keep All" to preserve all the versions"

then list of emails

first email gives the dislay name of the email account that last edited the email

Second email gives the email account of the email account that lat edited the email

both emails to select are the same email account.

Input Needed : Education Administration Needs Shared District/Campus Level Calendars.

Good morning,

Our superintendent is wanting to form a new district-wide calendar for administration to keep track of all district-events and to keep them from overlapping/double-scheduling.

We are using Office 365, and our admin has office 2016 installed using Microsoft Outlook 2016.  What I foresee is us having 7 total calendars, managed by their local administration, and one district-wide calendar containing everything from the 6 campus-level calendars, each having their own color to keep them apart from each other.  I am pretty sure this is available / possible, but I just want to make sure to set it up correctly.


I would like for the owner/admin of the district calendar to have permissions on all 6 sub-calendars.


I've looked at Outlook Calendars as well as Sharepoint, or settings up a group, but not sure as to what the best way to do this is. 


Let me know if this doesn't make sense.  Any help on getting this going will be greatly appreciated!

Copy of sent email to be in my inbox and the same mailbox on another computer

Hi! 

Hope you can help me, with outlook and email. 

We have recently taken on board new client $Corp, we had to put in a new computer for a user where a keylogger has been installed. 

$UserA works in office, where, 4 other people use the same mailbox $mailbox@corp.co.uk - at the day where I replaced the computer and configured the emails in IMAP/POP [They are using G Suite] I have been told that she is no longer receiving the copy of the email in her inbox. 

Later I have found out that it's enabled across all branches - and the following should happen. 

$UserA sends email and the copy of the emails is then received in the 'Inbox" of $UserA, $UserB and $UserC while all $users are using the same mailbox $mailbox@corp.co.uk [Marked as UNREAD] 

They are using POP settings and as far I can see - no outlook rules have been created in Outlook, no macro in VBA, "When Replying to a message that is not in the inbox, save the reply in the same folder" is unchecked. 

I have looked into the Gmail via Web Mail, and when email has been sent no 'copy' of the email in inbox in Web Mail environment. 

This makes me believe it's 'Outlook', but I cannot see an obvious solution to get that back in place. 

So, I'm hoping you can help me.
