Outlook 2013 crashes on startup, will only run in safe mode

Windows 10 on Dell XPS 13, with Office 2013.  

Outlook 2013 consistently crashes on startup, even with a new and empty profile.  It will run in Safe mode.  Crashes occur when connected directly to exchange server via LAN or when not connected to the internet or any LAN.

I have tried :

- disabling all add-ins,

- disabling hardware graphic acceleration,

- sfc scannow (no errors)

- repairing the office 2013 installation - no change in behaviour.

I have run MOCAT and that pointed me towards report.wer files that were consistently showing this :

Outlook 2016 crashing and restarting

During regular use, Outlook 2016 randomly crashes then restarts after immediately. Affects only 1 user. Any ideas how to fix? 

Have tried:
Repairing
Recreating Outlook profile
Disabling all add-ins
Recreating OST 
Reinstalling 64 bit (new faulting modules)

The problem in following thread is quite similar. Same faulting module. However, those regkeys don't exist for us.

Unable to view others Calendars in Outlook 2013; getting Error: "No Connection".

Hi,

When i go to Outlook > Calendar > Open Calendar > From Address Book > Then i choose the user of whose Calendar i want to see and it gives me an Error: 'No connection'. Other users in the same Environment are able to view each other's calendars except myself.

I have tried the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Repaired Office 2013.
2. Opened Outlook in safemode but the issue persists.
3. Checked the Options > Use Cached Exchange Mode and Download shared folders.
4. If a User shares a Calendar with me and i accept it then i am able to view others Calendars.
5. When i open Outlook through OWA then i am successfully able to see others Calendars.

Kindly advise accordingly as i need to be able to see other users Calendars through > Open Calendar > From Address Book 

Looking forward to a quick resolution of this issue.

Outllok 2016 won't let me open a blank new Calendar

When I go to 'Open Calendar,' then 'Create New Blank Calendar,' I type in the folder name and hit enter.  I get a error message that says 'Can't create the folder.  ..... cannot be created in Exchange ActiveSync accounts.'  How do I create a separate calendar where I want to keep specific tasks separate.  Seems like something many would want.  What am I doing wrong?

Recurring Events showing 1 day earlier on app

When entering recurring events on outlook calendar they show up correct on computer and then syncing with iPhone, the events show up correct the first week and then one day early every week after that. I have tried multiple calendars/apps and it is the same issue.

rules don't work again.

again, some of my outlook rules don't work. the only way is to manually run it via the Rule dialog.

Or I have to delete and re-create it .\

Any way to completely fix this? Or any clue why this repeatedly occur?

we are suffering from the search issue within 'Cached Exchange Mode' , if we turn that feature off, everything works well.

Outlook Could not read the calendar

go to calendar, the date navigation pane and the calender view are empty.

A new profile doesn't fix the issue only gives me the error "cannot read the calendar."

Outlook creates extra folder called "Junk" in Mailbox.

Hi all,

I have a user with Samsung Galaxy S4. Email is setup on his phone and Outlook. Extra folder called "Junk" is created in the mailbox automatically and some new emails get forwarded to that folder automatically. No Outlook rules set. Even if I move emails from that new Junk folder to the Inbox, those emails get back to this new Junk folder. Its not a System folder as I have an option to delete it. This folder is accessible even in Webmail.

If I switch off the phone, new emails get to Inbox as expected but with the phone being switched on, some emails get forwarded to this new Junk folder (Emails in this new Junk folder do not have the option of "Not Junk". If I delete the email account from the phone (Samsung Galaxy S4) and add it again, another folder called "Junk" is created again. This new folder is created under Inbox as a subfolder. If I move all the current emails from this new Junk folder to Inbox, then move this new Junk folder from under Inbox to Deleted Items folder, those emails I had moved to Inbox just a moment ago will come back to this Junk folder. Emails know where that folder has been moved. So more I delete and re-add email account on the phone, more Junk folder is created ie. re-adding 3 times will create 3 extra Junk folder. No Outlook rules are set. Outlook 2010 on the computer. Any suggestions, please advise.

Email will not delete from Deleted Items Folder on Outlook 2010

Outlook 2010 - I have one email (spam) that I cannot get deleted from my Deleted Items folder. I can move it to another folder and it will delete and be moved back to the deleted folder, but will not delete from the deleted folder. Subsequently I can't select all and delete everything from that folder; must hold control and select all other items to delete and then hit delete. How do I get rid of this one spam e-mail that will not delete?? When I try to delete it, I get the message, “An error occurred in the underlying security system. An internal error occurred”

Outlook 2016 only sending and receiving plain text after update

Since the latest Office 2016 update installed on 27 June, Outlook will only send and receive mails in plain text. The setting for 'Compose' is HTML and the 'Only receive in plain text' box is unchecked bout Outlook is ignoring the settings.

Any ideas?

rows all day events outlook agenda

In the outlook agenda you can make rows with all days appointments, after 5 rows you get a arrow down.

but we want to see also the 6th and 7th row also if we want, without the arrow down.

how can i fix that?

office 2016 professional edition now says unlicensed???

I purchased the office 2016 professional edition because I did NOT want to have to pay the recurring fees necessary for office 365.  Now my word and outlook both say unlicensed???  Also when I tried to run the office update troubleshooter it only detected office 365 and office 365 Pro.  It did not detect the 2016?  Why?  How do I get my 2016 back?

Office PA and OST File

Hi there

I have an Office PA who has the job of managing 3 users mailboxes, I have assigned her full access to the mailboxes but her OST file has reached 50GB and Outlook is running terrible now and unuseable, I think I need to delete her OST file and start again with her, can you suggest what I am best to do in this case ? The other users have been here many years and have lots of files etc and I do not want have this issue again for her. how good is cached mode? is there a way of not having the users mailboxes appear in Outlook 2016 and she just work in the browser until she has cleared down a bunk of the emails?

no emails

I have an email account with a local server:  txxxxsl.net

When I go to look at my emails the menu counter of incoming emails registers incoming but no emails appear.

In addition all the menu choices on side and above don't work.

Any suggestions?

All inbound or outbound Outlook emails displaying in Plain Text instead of HTML or RTF

Today, all emails (inbound or outbound) are being displayed in Plain Text. I have already verified the download picture settings in Trust Center are disabled. Restarted Outlook and the problem still occurs. Rebooted Windows and the problem still occurs. There have been no updates to any software between shutdown yesterday and start up today. Any resolution to this problem?

How to designate Internet Calendar as read only

In Outlook 2010 I have subscribed to an Internet Calendar that is read only on the server end. It is not designated as read only in the Outlook client. A user can add an event to this calendar in Outlook, and it persists in the Outlook view of that calendar, but it does not update the calendar on the server end and generates an error in Outlook.

Is there a way to mark this calendar as read only in Outlook so Outlook does not permit attempts to add events? On the properties dialog of this calendar there is no 'Permissions' tab.

Users unable to send me encrypted emails

First the facts:

I am on the NMCI network.

We are running Windows 10 Pro, update 1803.

We are using Outlook 2016, 32bit, as our email client.

Exchange on the back end.

When other uesrs attempt to send me encrypted emails, they get the following error (I get the same error if I try to send and encrypted email to myself):

I have already successfully published my certs to the GAL.  I have made sure that the users look me up in the GAL to ensure the most current information is selected for the addressing.  Still no luck.

However, if the user turns off "Use cached exchange mode" they can send me encrypted emails.

BUT, if they turn "Use cached exchange mode' back on, they cannot.

Lastly, there is no issue if the send encrypted via OWA.

Does anyone have anything else that can be tried?  Please bear in mind that in this environment, I have no elevated level privileges to check anything beyond what I have given you so far.  I have engaged the NMCI Service Desk, but so far they have not been able to resolve it. The ticket has been escalated to their software team

Oulook 2016 Contacts Shows AutoComplete Contacts

I was surprised to see that Outlook 2016 was showing Autocomplete contacts in the Contacts section of Outlook.  I confirmed that these contacts were indeed Autocomplete contacts by deleting them, and seeing if they showed up in the Autocomplete while creating an email. 

My question is how do I turn off viewing Autocomplete contacts in the Contact section of Outlook?  It's distracting when a regular contact is already in Contacts for the person.

Sharing calendar externally.

Hi folks,

I have created a resource (room) in our environment. Our environment is a hybrid environment. We create the resource on prem and then migrate it to the cloud.

Once the mailbox is created I have logged in to the resource and then sent out invites so that the calendar is shared with users from 3 other organisations. However, while those users are able to access the calendar and see any appointments in there at the time they initially add the calendar to their Outlook, they do not see any subsequent appointments that are added.

Looking at this - https://support.office.com/en-us/article/calendar-sharing-in-office-365-b576ecc3-0945-4d75-85f1-5efafb8a37b4 - I would have thought they would pick up changes 3 hours later.

However having also seen this - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/enterprise/office-365-inter-tenant-collaboration - right at the bottom of the page it says, "On-premises hybrid components, such as an Exchange organization and Azure AD Connect, cannot be split across multiple tenants.". Does that mean then that the sharing won't work correctly?

Just to add another piece to this puzzle, I shared the calendar to my personal Gmail address and find that everytime I close and open Outlook the calendar gets updated.

If anyone can help with this, maybe a definitive answer on whether this will even work or if I've missed a something would be much appreciated.
