Hello my name is Dimitris i have a question about outlook 2019. In company we don't have exchange server we just use outlook 2019 imap accounts and i want to update a file with contacts every time we have to add a person in contact list i have to do it
in every computer how can i avoid this in order to have the main file on server and the users to replicate the file with changes and update their contacts thank you.

Windows 10 Personalization changes cause Outlook 2016 to freeze
A user was complaining that Outlook 2016 was freezing up every minute or so. After hours of troubleshooting we discovered that the background image was changing at the same time that Outlook was freezing. In fact, i could manually change the background myself and cause Outlook to freeze. What's really interesting is that if i select two calendars, both calendars will flash back and forth (like they are refreshing over and over) several times. If select three calendars, and then change the image, the three calendars will flash over and over many more times than the two. It's like it's exponential.
Why would Windows 10 do this to Outlook specifically? I have looked at resource utilization and the image changes are not impacting CPU, Memory, Disk or Network. What can i do to troubleshoot? As a workaround i have told the user to not allow Windows 10 to change the background image on it's own.

Wanted: Step-by-Step Instructions to Merge PST Files
Every time I buy a new PC I accumulate a PST file when I install the latest revision of Outlook whose user interface really could use a refresh for Sales and Marketing purposes. So, somebody, please be very clear and concise. I know Outlook's
export and import functions can be used to merge PST #1 AND PST #2 to make PST #3. Also explain how the designers decided NOT to put Contacts into the PST file. Finally, why is there no means to export and import email account configuration
settings? Silly me.

Reference Value is NULL if change the subject of replying mail
Hi Team,
Using latest Outlook App for Windows in my system.
Please find the scenario.
Customer A sending mail to our support id and it has Message-ID ,Conversation ID and reference as Null
e.g. Message-ID {<BYAPR11MB338455B7E1ED6771720B0E98F5FA0@BYAPR11MB3384.namprd11.prod.outlook.com>}
Again Customer A sending reply mail from above mail then , it has new Message-ID , same Conversation ID and Reference has above Message-ID
Again customer reply from the above replied mail with modified subject
then, it has new Message-ID but reference id Null and conversation id is entirely different from previous one.
But , Above same scenario issue not reproducing while using online outlook mail site , only this issue in Outlook Desktop App.
Can you please fix this issue?

Outlook 2016 x64 - user cannot reply digitally signed message
A user xxx use an old computer A , and her mailbox is more than 10 GB. I going to migrate her outlook to a new computer B . but her mailbox is too big , the the exchange server is very very far away from the client. If the user xxx log onto computer B ,then open her outlook , then just wait for the outlook synchronize data from server , it will be a very very long time (there is one case ,it took 3 days to sync all data completely).
So I came up with bellow solution , even though I know it may not work.
1. Close her outlook on computer A , then start new outlook on computer B, but after the first setup is completed on computer B , then close outlook on computer B.
2. Then I rename this folder "C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook" to "C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook.new" on computer B.
3. Then copy this folder "C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook" from computer A to computer B , and put it at the same place.
4. Import user xxx's email certificate.
5. Then launch outlook on computer B.
At this moment , outlook seems work quite well , at least it can receive emails from server.
But very soon the user complain the outlook issue as follow:
1. She can send a new email without problem.
2. She can reply an email that does not signed with sender's certificate.
3. She never can reply any email that signed with sender's certificate. computer will pop up an error windows , that is "A required action was not successful because of an unspecified error"
On the File tab, click Options> Trust Center> Trust Center Settings.
On the E-mail Security tab, under Encrypted e-mail , there are 4 check box
If I check the last 3 option , then the user xxx can receive or reply any kind of email , no matter it's encrypted or not
But the user do not want to use the last check box , which is required s/mime receipt for all s/mime signed messages.
What's wrong with my operation ?
How can I solve the "A required action was not successful because of an unspecified error" problem ?
Or any one can tell me how to copy outlook profile correctly for a user
Computer A : windows 7 ,outlook 2016
Computer B : windows 10 ,outlook 2016

Keyboard shortcut to insert horizontal line in outlook message
Looking for a keyboard shortcut to insert horizontal line in outlook message. With the new compact ribbon design, it is cumbersome to get to with a mouse. I have googled but can't find a solution. It seems like it should be simple. I can go into Customize Ribbon and see the command I want, but don't know how to assign a shortcut key to it (say ctrl-L). What am I missing? Thanks.

Failed to Update Headers - An IMAP command failed
Running Win10 PRO and Outlook 2010. Receive msg when I click on folder in IMAC account saying "Failed to Update Headers, and details read: "An IMAP command failed. Protocol:IMAP Server:mail.Charter.Net
I can run SCAN.PST over and over until I am getting ZERO errors - nothing to repair. Then I reboot, open outlook, and when I click on the IMAC in or trash folders, I get the error msg again. I tried and cannot empty the trash folder and I cannot copy messages to other in boxes. What a mess! HELP!

Mouse cursor disappearing in Outlook 2010
We've recently begun to notice that the mouse cursor will disappear once it is within any of the Outlook 2010 Windows. It doesn't seem to be consistent with machine type or mouse type.
These are all Windows 7 Enterprise systems also.

Severe problem while sending to customers using prod.protection.outlook.com-mailservers
Hi everybody,
currently - since about last week - we are not able to send any mail to any recipient using a mail domain connected to outlook.com. We always get an error reply
account@domain.de - 501 5.5.4 Invalid domain name
[HEXTSTRING.SERVERNAME.prod.protection.outlook.com]
This applies to users from hotmail.com as well.
We are using our own mailservers over postfix (not a hosted solution). It does not seem to be an error to be fixed on our side of the communication-part.
Does anybody knows, how to fix this error? I whould appreciate any help in this.

Outlook: Failed to update Headers
I am using Office 2010, and outlook for my email needs.
My internet provider is Spectrum, and they instructed me to use IMAP server. I followed their instructions and it has been working for the last couple of years, but it stopped working for incoming mails (outgoing seems to be working).
When I opens Outlook 2010, and the following message appears;
failed update headers/IMAP command failed/Protocol:IMAP/server: mail.charter.net/Port:993
What would be the solution here? I asked Spectrum for this issue, and they insist that this is not their issue, but Microsoft. however, the test message from Microsoft does show up when I access Spectrum Web Mail, but it does not show on Outlook 2010 Inbox.

Office365 Outlook 2016 1808 - Getting this error 0x8004011d, (-2147221219)
Hi
We are using Office365 Outlook 2016 1808 - We are getting this error 0x8004011d, (-2147221219), this is happening when add-in is trying access the Primary Mailbox and Online Archive.
Error Message - Microsoft Exchange is not available. Either there are network problems or exchange server is down for maintenance.
We checked everything from the network perspective from office from outside networks, all looks good interms of connectivity to Office365. Only when the add-in tries it gives the error.
However, when we set the Primary mailbox to Cache mode, it worked. But Online Archive cannot be set Cache mode obviously, so the Add-in is throwing the above errors.
Add-in used to filing the mails from Inbox to the respective folders hosted on other shared mailboxes or Online archive.
It worked fine before the 1808 upgrade.

REG Key for Outlook 2016 Recall Feature
We are looking to remove the <Recall> option from the "Resend or Recall" area of Outlook 2016.
I have explored the GP template for Outlook 2016 and do not see any actionable options to enable for this. (please correct me if I have overlooked this somehow)
I am curious if there is a key we could insert, perhaps at (Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Options\Mail) that would null this feature out?
Recall is the most worthless feature due to the limited scope of it's ability, so we are looking to avoid continually explaining why it will not work for all but a limited scope of messages.
Has anyone made this option disappear with any success?

Outlook Reminders issue
One of user has his outlook reminders disappear randomly without clicking on the dismiss all or dismiss tabs on the reminder window.
I have reinstalled office, disable the option to automatically dismiss past events, checked the event log for any traceable events but did not find anything, removed and re-added the email account, changed it from cache mode to online mode.
Any further ideas would be appreciated.

Increse maximum attachment size in Outlook - MaximumAttachmentSize
Hi,
I would like to increase the maximum size of email attachments. I have done the server part but I am having problems with
Outlook. I have Outlook 2016 and I have changed the registry for Outlook 2019 and 2016: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\\Preferences\MaximumAttachmentSize. I have set it to 100MB and also set it to zero but always get the sam error "the file you're attaching is bigger than the server allows .... I get this error in Outlook before I try to send.
Any ideas?

Missing appointments/meetings
I have been missing all my appointments and meetings over the past month. I dont know what has changed. My boss sends me meeting invites and they are in my calendar, but i am missing them over and over and over. Is there a way for me
to be sure that my Windows 10/Outlook 2019 computer will not let me miss meetings anymore? Please help!!! What are the best practices/settings for getting reminded that you have an important meeting coming up.

Out of Office at the wish of an user
We have Outlook 2010, but we want it also for Outlook 2016. The user can enable his OOO and that works.
But is it possible to give an OOO message everyday from 10am 'till 2pm. And during e.g. 6 month. Before 10am and after 2pm there is normal mail traffice without a OOO message.
Or maybe it is possible but through another way. Anyone any idea?

How to designate Internet Calendar as read only
In Outlook 2010 I have subscribed to an Internet Calendar that is read only on the server end. It is not designated as read only in the Outlook client. A user can add an event to this calendar in Outlook, and it persists in the Outlook view of that calendar, but it does not update the calendar on the server end and generates an error in Outlook.
Is there a way to mark this calendar as read only in Outlook so Outlook does not permit attempts to add events? On the properties dialog of this calendar there is no 'Permissions' tab.

mailbox error
Hi there,
i recently migrated one of our office users to a new machine, also upgraded from office 2016 pro plus to office 365 and now were receiving below error. We have our own mail server which has no limitation set for mailboxes which rules that out.
Can anyone kindly assist.
