Receive duplicated emails starting from this Monday.

I don't know why, starting from this Monday, My outlook 2016 always deliver a duplicate email into my Inbox.

I have checked I didn't have the same account configured on any other device.

Any other things that I can check?

With the latest update, my search bar now goes to the top of the application, instead of the top of the message list.

This is sort of unfriendly for me. Can we revert it back?

Or I have to go back to a lower version of build?

Outlook 2016 crash - charp.dll error

$

Hello,

In the last 1-2 weeks, we have started experiencing an error with Outlook 2016. When open emails and try to reply or resend:

“The required file chart.dll cannot be found in your path. Install Microsoft Outlook again.”

It only occurs in Outlook 2016 and does not affect the rest of the office suite. Restarting Outlook or the PC will temporarily resolve the issue but it will eventually recur.

Our environment is Windows 10, we have both machines with 1903 and 1909 experiencing the issue. They are domain-joined and outlook connects to a Office 365 server.

Anyone have any experience with this or can provide guidance about which update might have triggered this?

Thanks

Outlook 2013 IMAP Folder-structure lost

$

i had problems with synching my folders to my IMAP-Server account, so i tried to

set the "root folder path" of my imap account to "INBOX" as mentioned on many

support forums, but no success.

then i set the folder path back to nothing as it was before i started, with the horrible

effect that all my folders are gone now!

so now i have a local .ost file with a size of about 8GB but no folder (except the standard

folders of outlook) are displayed. i tried to use a .ost to .pst tool, but this also shows only

the structure without my personal folders!

how to get rid of that problem???

Outlook keeps Crashing

Not sure what to do next.

How to add conditional formatting to tasks which have been snoozed?

$

Hello. I have a question about tasks and the task view (screenshot).  Is there a column (screenshot) or field which contains the 'snooze date' for a task. Here is what I mean by 'snooze date.' When a task is created, I can set a reminder time (screenshot).  On this date, the task will automatically display in my reminders window (screenshot).  In that window, there is an option to 'snooze' the reminder for a period of time, e.g. two weeks (screenshot).  If I snooze this task, the date the task willre-appear in my reminders window is what I'm calling the 'snooze date.'  Is there a field attached to this task which reflects that date?  When I snooze the task, its 'reminder time' does *not* change to the 'snooze date.'

The reason I ask is because I would like to add conditional formatting for such tasks--i.e. tasks which have already appeared in reminders window, but have been snoozed until a later date.

I'm using Outlook 2013 on Windows 10.

Thanks in advance.

The Email is office 365 and i do use a Microsoft account with OneDrive etc.

This is what is should be, and this is how it is on the sent items!

instead its like this.. making my email previews crowded. This is set for my inbox.

Reset is disable in both locations..

Ive also messed about in "Other settings and changed the Columns but i cant get it back to default.

Outlook 365 2016 Trusted Platform Module error code 80090016

I have quite a few machines where after launching Outlook and trying to authenticate, they get a "something went wrong" error that Trusted Platform Module has malfunctioned, error code 80090016.  The server message is "Keyset does not exist Keyset does not exist".

If different users log in on the same computers, their Outlooks functions properly.  So I assume it's something just in those users' profiles, but I'd prefer not to delete the users' profiles if there is a fix that could be done to each instead.  Anyone know how to fix this without completely deleting the user profile off the machine?

Here's the output of dsregcmd /status from a profile with the TPM error

Distribution lists

$

This fiasco has more of my end-users working from home than ever. This is placing more focus on Office365's Outlook web interface. Several people are attached to and add to established distribution content. It appears that the web rendition of Outlook does not see these distribution group folders which are, at the desktop, listed beneath the primary mailbox in their own folders.

Is this the way it is? Can adjustment be made to allow those distribution group email to be seen in the web interface and those with authority have the capability to send content to the group?

Completely remove profile

Win 10, office 2016 pro. Exchange 2016

Local Outlook setup.

Need to completely remove Outlook profile from a computer login. Changing email accounts but want to keep the same computer login.

Can't get past the password entry when opening outlook with the new email account after account setup. Account profile created successfully.

Deleting and recreating the workstation login works but want to avoid the extra work.

How do I Completely remove any outlook profile files from appdata or anywhere else associated with the computer login to give outlook a clean slate?

Already did a disk cleanup.

Thanks!

Outlook 2010 Windows 7 - Group by Follow Up Flag (desc) - Two (none) groups - 1 flagged and cleared - 2 never flagged

$

I am using Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 Pro.

I have set my Inbox to group messages by follow up flag. I get one group named "Follow up" and two groups named "(none)".

It appears that the first (none) group is messages that have been flagged and cleared. The second (none) group has never been flagged. I just tested this by flagging and clearing a message from the second group. It moved to the first group.

There may be other reasons for these two groups as well, but this checked out.

Is there something I can do to get all unflagged messages into the same group, i.e. only have one (none) group?

Thanks,

Techie2002

Outlook crashes opening mailbox

We have a user reporting that they could not launch Outlook on a new replacement system. When Outlook starts, the splash screen is displayed setting up Outlook for the first time and begins loading settings until it disappears/crashes. This can be reproduced on multiple machines as follows:

  • Happens on Windows 7, Windows 10 (1803), Windows 10 (1903)
  • Happens on Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013 (32-bit for both)
  • Happens for new profile, new OST, and in safe mode
  • Launching Outlook immediately after reboot has actually gotten the Outlook window to display after the splash screen, but it ends us disappearing/crashing. We've only gotten the crash details (at bottom) from the Windows 7 machines.

The mailbox has been moved to a new database, and mailbox repair requests have been successfully run against it.

The odd thing is that 64-bit Outlook has zero issues connecting to this mailbox. Every 32-bit Outlook we've tested with has crashed, and every 64-bit we've tested with has worked. Any ideas with what could be causing the crash? We captured 2 different crash codes below.

Adding a Signature to a shared Mailbox

$

Hi,

I have added a shared mailbox in Office 365. I've set the permissions as Send As

Send As: The Send As permission lets a user impersonate the shared mailbox when sending mail. For example, if Kweku logs into the shared mailbox Marketing Department and sends an email, it will look like the Marketing Department sent the email.

So now I have 2 Mailboxes in Outlook and all is working fine. However when I send a new mail from the Shared Mailbox or reply to one sent in the signature of the default mailbox is added. There is no option in the Options Mail Signature dialogue in Outlook to select the shared mailbox.

To use the above example what I want is for the email or reply to come with a Marketing Department signature not Kweku's signature.

Should be easy - looks impossible.

Print emails: adjust "memo style" or alternate style better for embedded images?

$

The picture shows what is happening - printing using "Memo Style" which is the only one available on Office 2016.
Printer has the proper manufacturer supplied drivers; the same happens if printing to PDF or OneNote as well.

The user sends an email with an embedded image. As you view the email in preview pane or in a message windows on its own, and resize the pane or window, the image resizes accordingly to fit the width of the message. HOWEVER, when printing, you get lots of unnecessary whitespace and an incomplete picture.

page 1: the header and initial text of the message.
page 2: the image fit heightwise to the page size so that  with a landscape image, you get about 2.5 the width, the rest is chopped off.
page 3: any remaining text from below the image and the signature.

Is there another "Style" available that will scale the width of the image to fit the width of page, and keep the text with it? i.e. having the extra mail header part injected at beginning is A-OK, but isn't there a way to make the message part print look just like the actual email message ?  Single page width, extending onto additional pages HEIGHTWISE only if too long to fit on one page ?  Is there some setting to tweak ?

Default "Insert File" Dialog Box Position

$

Hello everyone,

I have a very random and seemingly insignificant question, but this issue is driving one of our users crazy. She is using Outlook 2016 on a Remote Desktop Server (Server 2016 Standard). When she goes to attach a file to an email, the "Insert File" box always opens in the top-left corner of the screen. When moving it to a different position on the screen, Outlook doesn't remember this and will open it up in the top-left corner the next time she attaches a file.

The reason this has become an issue is because she sends a lot of reports in the morning and refers to the subject line of her email to make sure she is sending the correct report to the correct people. For the 15 to 20 reports she has to send each day, she has to move the box out of the way every single time.

I have followed the steps in this article, but it did not seem to make a difference:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/archive/blogs/uktechnet/resetting-windows-explorer

All of her other applications will remember the position of the dialog boxes that they open. For example, Notepad will remember the position of where the "Save as" dialog box last was, and Adobe Reader will remember the location of where the "Open" dialog box last was.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Unable to accept invite because I'm already the owner when inviting another mailbox that's attached to Outlook

Posting on behalf of a client.

He has an Office 365 account as the primary and a bigpond.com.au mailbox also attached to his Outlook.

When he creates an appointment and invites his Bigpond mailbox he's unable to accept as it states he's already the owner.

Is there anyway around this?

Thanks,
