Outlook Appointments

I am recursively iterating through all Outlook folders. I only want to extract appointments.  Is there any way before drilling down into the items of a folder if I can determine if the folder contains appointments and if so then iterate through the items? The problem is that the inbox is being searched which contains emails and if the email inbox count is high I spin a useless cycles since it has no appointments.

please could someone help me?

I'm currently using outlook 2010 and I have created a signature when replying or creating a new message, now this works fine in happy with that. when I have a word doc/excel or PowerPoint doc open and click to the email button at the top it brings up a new messages template but my signature is missing. I know I can insert it manual but I work like this a lot of the time and just wondered if I could make this mandatory when forwarding documents as well as it appearing on my new messages and replies in outlook?

any help would be perfect,

thanks

Now when follow flag is cleared items remain. They are supposed to disappear immediately.

Any ideas?

Migrating Outlook 2010 Profile to Office 365 ProPlus (Outlook 2016)

Hi there

I am dealing with the following situation:

Win 7, Outlook 2010, Exchange 2013 Profile should be migrated to Win 10, Outlook 2016 (Office 365 ProPlus Installer).

I am backing up the following files from the Win 7 Client:

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook\

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\

I am restoring the AppData Folders to the same locations on the Win 10 Client.

I am restoring the Registry Settings to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Profiles\

The Outlook Profile is beeing migrated just fine, but the favorites in the Navigation Pane are empty in Outlook 2016.
What am I missing?

The Outlook profile is running in Exchange-Cache-Mode, could that be an issue?
If I change that setting to online-mode faved folders out of the user-mail account are synced live between Outlook 2010 and 2016, but not faved public Folders or faved Folder out of outer mail-accounts...

So basicly it all Comes down to the question:
How to migrate the favorites Navigation pane...

Outlook archiving new messages immediately

Hi, we have one user whose Outlook has suddenly started immediately archiving new messages. If they send a message it is immediately transferred to the Sent Items in the Archive folder, all new incoming messages are moved to the Inbox in the Archive folder. Older messages are not being affected.

I have checked the settings and as far as I can see AutoArchiving is switched off and the Properties, AutoArchive tab for the folders is set to Do not archive items in this folder. Checked Tools, Options, AutoArchive and none of the options are enabled, checked File, Archive and it is set to Archive all folders according to their AutoArchive settings.

The user is on Outlook 2007 on Windows 7 and the server is Exchange 2007 Enterprise version 8.3 build 83.6 on Windows 2008 R2 Standard. Nothing has changed recently on the server and the user is adamant that they have not changed any settings in their Outlook.

Can anyone suggest where else I can look for the cause of this behaviour?

Many thanks, Eddie

Outlook 2013 account settings don't move with the pst file.

I need to move my Outlook data from c:\Outlook\ to j:\Outlook\.

Following the instructions in http://www.msoutlook.info/question/86 I moved the pst file from c:\Outlook\ to j:\Outlook\ while Outlook was not running. I then started Outlook, it complained that it couldn't find its pst file, I pointed it to the new location and it opened the j:\Outlook\xyz.pst file and I was able to read my old folder structure and messages.

Then I pressed F9 to connect to my ISP's servers and download new messages. Outlook produced error messages for all five of my email accounts which indicated that the ISP server did not authenticate me.

I moved the pst file back to its original location at c:\Outlook\ and connections to the ISP server went back to normal.

There must either be something other than the pst file that has to be moved to j:\Outlook\ or some of the settings in Outlook have to be changed. Help please.

Outlook 2010 reply rule using template uses From address instead of Reply-to

We list properties for rent on Trulia, Zillow, and Hotpads.  Inquiries received from Trulia showupdates@trulia.com as the From address. If I open the email and press reply, the email will be sent to the email address of the person inquiring which I assume is the Reply-to address. If I use a rule and a template, it is being directed to the updates@trulia.com address which, of course, gets rejected. Is there a way to have the template use the reply-to address instead?

Allowing Delegate to print daily Calendar with Task list

Short of my manager just giving me her password for access, I believe my IT department and I have tried everything we can find to allow me to print her daily schedule with Task list. Seems simple enough, but for some reason impossible. I have access to, and can even alter, add, update her current task list. My print settings include the Task list in the Options box, but when printing, it is always blank. Calendar Printing Assistant seems to be no help, either. I can select her task list, but nothing populates. We've tried setting due dates to the tasks and not. I'm forced to take screenshots every day and print from Paint, and it just seems unnecessary.

Any assistance would be very appreciated!

Outlook 365 updated itself to prompt when moving folders - is this the correct place to request option to disable it?

Hi

Outlook 365 updated itself to prompt when moving folders - is this the correct place to request option to disable it?

I know it will have been done to help people who move folders accidentally, but if you have been moving folders for what is probably 15 years a few thousand folders and never had an issue, it would be great to be able to turn the prompt off.

But I can't see anywhere that capability is provided  :-(

Does anyone else know where to turn this off?  Or where to request a feature to do so?

The version of outlook is: 16.0.6741.2021

Thanks

To: address autocomplete cache

What is the file name for the autocomplete cache for Office Outlook 2007?  If possible I would love to be able to transfer those addresses stored in the To: address field autocomplete cache.  I have tried to explain to my clients that those aren't auto saved to their contacts and they need to save them but they never listen.  To them it is devestating so I would like to just start copying the file over if that is possible when I upgrade or migrate them to a different pc.

Thanks, Cameron

I have Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2016 through a community college that uses office 365 and I am getting a need password every time I go into outlook 2016 on my primary computer but on my surface 3 and my developer computer it works fine

I have tried the Microsoft office recovery program that is supposed to fix this issue with outlook 2016

I have had these issues before but not as bad because normally the program will fix itself after I use the recovery program

The thing is I have my student email syncing into outlook 2016 through the exchange server through office 365

Any help would be much appreciated

Hi to all

I have three mail addresses in outlook 2010. The same categories work fine on two of them. However the Hotmail address is the one that does not "receive" the same categories (it is the default address). I do not want to re make all of the categories but to impose/use the same for all three mails.

Who can help?

Emails in Outlook are showing the web server email address (ie mailgun and web server) on behalf of main email address

One of my clients is complaining that all of a sudden its showing their emails like this...

bounces+795973-3824-info=customerdomain.com@sendgrid.net on behalf of info@customerdomain.com

See screenshot below.

My client is freaking out and blaming the mail server for this error and claiming "something's changed on the mail server" because its never shown it like that before and becasue I am unable to explain it, he thinks I have zero clue what I am doing etc (you know the type of client right?)

Is there a setting in Outlook that allows me to turn this way of looking at the sender off?
