Emails getting stuck in Outbox when using Send to mail recipient

Email sending is fine and the problem appears only when i (or my collegue) right click some document and select Send to > Mail recipient. Then a new message windows pops up with a predefined text and that document automatically attached. But such email never goes out of outbox. I can open new message and attach files manually and in this case there is no problems with sending. I think it started happening last week and probably after this month office critical/security updates. Can't find anything on the Internet and have tried various scenarios, office diagnostics, scanpst, etc.

Outlook 2016 Account Settings no longer shows me POP advanced settings

After build 1807 was installed I no longer have access to POP advanced settings. If I open accounts, select an address and select Change, I see a much simpler screen that does not have the server fields or More Settings fields.

Clicking Next just finishes the dialog, is nothing there either (unless I am overlooking something!)

I did some experimenting with VMs and pinned down that it was Build 1807 that did this. Questions:

1) If I have to change mail providers how do I alter the mail server info ? Is there any way to gain access to those fields again in Build 1807 ?

2) If not, how do I uninstall Build 1807 ? Poked around in Programs and Features, updates and did not see Office anywhere

Can't change "server draft location" in excel

First of all, let me say that I hate the new autosave!  I had to keep turning it off, but it's wouldn't stay off.  Then the toggle switch disappeared so I couldn't continue turning it off.  I contacted my school help desk and they told me to delete OneDrive from the path so it would save to Users/XXXXX/Documents/SharePoint Drafts.  I know I've typed my slashes backward here, but my backslash key doesn't seem to be working.  They are correct in the "server draft location" box.  I don't want you to think that's the problem. It can't be the problem because I can't change what's in excel.  It is grayed out.  I don't get an error message when I try to use my backspace or delete, but I do get the Microsoft error sound. 

The change fixed the problem on the laptop I was using while on the phone with the help desk.  They emailed the instructions so I could do the same on my other laptop later.

I am running Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus, Version 1803 (Build 9126.2295).

Outlook 2016 cannot connect to email server with SSL/TLS

The email server I connect to for email was recently moved, and now that I try to connect using outlook it is not working. However, I can connect directly to web mail on a browser and I can connect using my phone with no issues. No one else who connects to this email server with outlook is having the issue I am. This is occurring on both of my computers and they are running Windows 7 (64-bit) with Outlook 2016 (32-bit).

I have tested using both IMAP and POP settings using SSL/TLS (ports 993 and 465) and both of them give me the same error message:

“Log onto incoming mail server (IMAP): A secure connection to the server cannot be established.”

“Send test email message: Your server does not support the connection encryption type you have specified. Try changing the encryption method. Contact your mail server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for additional assistance.”

I have called my ISP to make sure they are not blocking those ports.

I also tested using IMAP without SSL/TLS using port 143 and outgoing port 587. This allows me to connect and see emails, however when I try to send emails I get the following error: 503 Valid RCPT command must precede DATA. However, even if this connection issue is resolved, I would prefer to connect using SSL/TLS.

Please let me know any other information that is needed to troubleshoot this issue. Thanks!

outlook 2016 Signature window will not open

windows 10 with 64 Bit OS

latest office 365 32 bit install -

I cannot open the signature window to create signatures. outlok just hangs for 30 seconds then ignores the open window button.

any suggestions?

Outlook Client and Outlook Web Access (.ICS File Format)

Hi, can anyone here please help to explain and provide some sort of supporting documents on my query.

Why is it when I receive a course/webminar booking through email (or maybe a travel reservation/schedule), I normally see the email through the Outlook Client (meaning it's visible and came into the inbox) but I could not find this same email in Outlook Web Access (even if I did a search in my email folders in OWA)? I believe the email is in .ICS format because when I open the email and I do a File\SaveAs, it auto default to an ICS file format. When I open the email, I can see that I can send it to myself (with the send button) and above got the message " You haven't sent this meeting invitation yet". Please note that the email received/booking is not in the form of an attachment. Whoever experience or saw this behaviour before, please help and assist. Thank you.

Office 365 Folders Archiving

When using the "coming soon" version of Outlook 2016, All of the email addresses in the left column are disabled for clicking so "Outlook Today" becomes inaccessible

When I start Outlook, I have it defaulted to "Outlook Today" so I can get a quick overview of my upcoming activities.

If I have turned on the new "Coming Soon" version of Outlook, then it does still come up in "Outlook Today."

The PROBLEM arises if I leave "Outlook Today" because it appears there is no way to get back to it besides restarting Outlook.

The "normal" method is to click, in the left column, on the primary email address, but all of those email addresses are now disabled for clicking. (I wonder why that was done!)

So, how am I to get back to "Outlook Today?"

Local Contacts from GAL disappear after a few seconds.

When we pull records from our GAL for users in 1 specific email domain and save them as local contacts, the records automatically disappear after a few seconds. We have a Trust/GalSync/Free Busy relationship with this other domain and we have also configured Exchange to treat this partner domain as internal, as messages exchanged between both organizations go over a Site to Site VPN. We have 2 other organizations that we have this same configuration with, but they do not exhibit the same behavior.

To reproduce:

Go to GAL, go to record: user@domain1.com and save contact locally and it appears for a few seconds and then disappears. There is nothing in the Deleted Items folder to show that it has been deleted.

I've put my Outlook into Offline Mode and then performed the same steps and the record stays until I reconnect again, and then it deletes the contact after a few seconds.

As a workaround, I can add the contact in OWA just fine and the record does not get deleted from Outlook.

Nothing worthwhile from logs, and I can't decode the ETL file for better logging, so I thought I'd try here.

ost file corrupted

Hi,

Outlook2016 ,office 365 ost file corrupted .

Whenever outlook starts it creates an ost file .

For example if the original ost file is user.ost , it creates user(1).ost ,user(2).ost and continues like 3.,4 

How to fix the problem

Outlook digitally signed email from another email adress - no warning?

Today i received a digitally signed message from person A but it was signed from person B and Outlook wasnt warning.

Yes, the certificate is correct but it doesnt belong to the senders mail adress. I found no option to force Outlook to crosscheck that...  Outlook version 2016 MSO 16.0.4738.1000  32bit

Any ideas on that?

Hi

I am using Microsoft Office 2016 Home & Business Edition, from last one month i am getting error while configuring Exchange account "Your mailbox has been temporarily moved on Microsoft exchange server ..... you cannot send or receive email messages." and there are three option available in small windows are 1. Use Temporary mailbox  2. Use Old Data 3. Cancel

If i click on 1st option its shows me my Microsoft outlook mailbox but actually i configured my official mailbox, it that because off my official mail account id and Microsoft outlook mail id are same?

But from last 8-9 months i am using same id as official id and if i used the same Mail id in windows 10 default Mail app its working properly. i try troubleshooting steps, first i remove Microsoft login from my windows 10 PC then i try with fresh office 2016 installation and create new profile also i try to rename my outlook profile from registry ... but still problem not resolved.

Kindly help me to resolve this issue

Microsoft Outlook 2016 sometimes was hanging when view or open email

Hi,

I have one client running on MS Office 16.0.10827.20181 on Windows 10, sometimes when he opens or views email in Inbox, the outlook will be hanging.

I tried to create new Outlook profile and reinstalled MS office program to version 16.0.10827.20181, no avail. the mailbox size is around 9 GB as mailbox's limited size is 100GB. there is one pst file attached in Outlook which has the size of around 3.9 GB.

The issue happened almost 1-2 times per day, please advise what fix can I try?

I have a user that is using Outlook 2013 in a Citrix environment. When the user creates and email and saves the email in drafts to work on it later. When the user opens the mail later and tries to send it, they get the following error: "The function cannot be performed because the message has been changed". I researched this and had the user deselect the checkbox for "when a reply modifies a message don't move the original" but this did not help. In the email I watched, the user was also attaching PDF documents to the email as well.


Outlook issue with shared mail box conversation

Hello

I have a user who has a shared mailbox and doesn't display the conversation history if he sends an email via that account. However, when searching a user it shows the his email that was sent. (along with the sent email.)

Also, in the tasks he duplicate tasks for the shared mailbox. Can't be deleted from Outlook. In office 365 it doesn't show duplicate tasks? Anyway to remove this?

Outlook 2016 - Keeps asking for password

I have done my research.  I have now spent 3 days going through all the steps.  I have removed my email account and added it multiple times.  Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.  Today I keep getting asked for my password then it just sends an error that it cannot authenticate.  I dont know what to do anymore.  I have rebooted, logged in as admin.  I have another email account set up and that one has no problems, all the same settings

Autocomplete cache after IMAP migration

Dears,

We are migrating from Rackspace to Office 365.

After the migration completion i think we will face issues with Autocomplete cache for internal and external users that are sending to our environment they will receive DNS resolution error.

is there any solution for the above especially for the external users?
