Blank (white) login screen in Outlook connected to O365 after user password change
Hi,
for some time we have been experiencing the following problem:
when a user change his password, Outlook and OneDrive show the login window (the modern authentication dialog) where a new password should be entered.
Everything is fine in OneDrive login window, but Oultook login window is just white, so user cannot enter his password.
Both Outlook and OneDrive are connected to the same Office 365 tenant.
The problem occur on both Windows 7 and Windows 10 PCs.
All installations of Outlook are: 2016 MSO (16.0.9126.2336) 32-bits.
We have a hybrid environment of Exchange. The problem only affects users who have O365 mailboxes.
The workaround I discovered is to logout from Microsoft Account in Outlook, restart PC and during next start od Outlook the login window appears correctly until a user change his password again.
Is this some known issue? How to get rid of this problem?

IMAP account (gmail) - Sent messages not shown in Outlook 2016
My scenario:
- I may/may not have caused my sent emails to be automatically rooted to "Bin"
- Recently, in my attempt to clean up and purge my mail accounts, i may/may not have accidentally clicked delete too many times or somehow caused my sent messages to be instantly directed to the bin.
- My "sent messages" folder is permanently empty (but only for the aforementioned gmail account). I have 2 other mail accounts which retain the "Sent messages" folder just fine.
- I am able to search for these messages under "All Outlook items" - such messages are shown to be in "Bin"
Troubleshooting done so far:
- /clearviews
- reinstalled the entire office suite by "Repairing Office programmes"
- deleted and set up the entire mail accounts in Outlook again
What I think the possible solution is:
- To stop Outlook from automatically sending my "sent messages" to "Bin"
However, I have no idea how to re-route my sent messages for this particular IMAP account. It was this particular IMAP account that in my haze, I have caused to delete all sent messages to the Bin.

Importing .OST files into Outlook and converting them into .PST files
I have several former employees outlook files, and need to view them, when they were copied from the former-employees computer the format of the Outlook file was .ost which I can't import into Outlook (as I don't know how to). Is there a way to import .ost files into Outlook? And finally how would I convert them, as I believe you can do this through the Archive option within Outlook.

"The file ..\AppData\Local\Internet Calendar Subscriptions(2).pst cannot be found" with roaming TS profile
I am hoping to get help with an issue we are having with an RDS / TS cluster we have.
2 server RDS cluster:
Windows 2008 R2, Outlook 2013 installed. Users are setup with a roaming RDS profile.
They can log into a server and add an internet calendar without issue. If they log into the same server the next time there is still no issue. If they get the other server in the cluster an error is generated when opening Outlook. "The
file D:\Users\testdirk\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Internet Calendar Subscriptions.pst cannot be found."
I can click OK and create the file, but the next time they connect to a different RDS server it gives the same message with the file name incremented with the next number. This is because whether I create the file is it looking for or not it creates a
new file when it goes to sync that Internet calendar that is added to their profile.
I have tried adding the Internet Calendar both with the "Display this calendar on Other computers with the account" selected and without it selected but I get the same results.
Has anyone see behavior like this before, and do you have any idea how to resolve it?

ADAL - SMB - Generic account
Dear All,
I'm contacting you regarding technicals linked to ADAL activation.
ADAL (Modern Authentication) will be activated in few month from now in our company. Correct me if I'm wrong but the purpose of ADAL is to use the session authentication to log in Outlook Account.
I have a question regarding Shared Mailboxes.
Shared Mailboxes do not have dedicated ID and password. To access a shared mailbox you need to have Full access and then use your own ID and password.
There is 2 way to mount a SMB in Outlook Client :
1) Directly on server side, by giving Full Access to the SMB ZZZ for the account XXX and by activating Automapping.
Doing so, no matter the computer you're using in the company, each time you will open a session with account XXX, the SMB ZZZ will there.
Few limitations though :
- Calendar Notifications for SMB won't be displayed
- You won't be able to set the SMB as defaut account
=> No issue with ADAL here
2) Setting up locally as additionnal account. by giving Full Access to the SMB ZZZ for the account XXX but no automapping.
After that, on the Outlook client of the session XXX, you add manually a new Outlook account and enter the address of the SMB ZZZ. When Outlook is asking you for ID and password you enter those of the account XXX.
=> With ADAL, I'm wondering if it will work. Will the SMB poperly use the authentication library linked to the logged account or will it display an error ?
3) Setting up locally in the account properties

Recommended way to add a Shared Mailbox in Outlook desktop client
Dear,
What is the best way to add a shared mailbox in your Outlook client. I have read many things on the internet better never any justification why choose this solution over another one.
All these solutions are to be considered only after the user was granted Full Access over the Shared Mailbox.
1) Add the SMB as a new account
- Is it compliant with Modern Authentification ?
- Calendar notification for the SMB will properly show up
- It is possible to set the SMB address as default.
- Is there any potential issue doing this ?
2) Add the SMB with automapping feature
This is option needs to be set up on server side by admins.
After that, nothing to do on client side. Users will have the SMB automatically mapped whatever the computer they are using.
- With this configuration, Calendar notification for the SMB won't work
- Not possible to set the SMB address as defaut address to use when sending an email
3) Add the SMB in the advanced properties of the account
Doing so, the limitations seems to be the same as option ?
Would someone be kind to help me about this matter ?

Its 2018; Why don't animated GIF's play in Outlook email's by default.
I'm a respectable, legitimate IT veteran, and I'm sure there are hundreds of you foaming at the mouth to respond to this question with some answer ranging from, "This is unimportant to Enterprise users" to "There are security risks, why expose yourself for some something so irrelevant" to "You can enable that feature by <insert definition of a PowerShell script, registry edit, GPO, waiting for a mystical alignment of celestial bodies>", but lets keep it real, we live in a multimedia society. I want to send dank memes and animated gifs without having to create a Group Policy which I then have to explain to my superiors.
If you have to go to work every day, you might as well have fun while you're there. AMIRITE!

Sent emails remain in outbox
Using Outlook 2016 MSI version. Email is in Office 365. User is MFA enforced.
The user has a number of emails that are in the outbox but we have verified that the emails were sent. How do we fix this?
We opened the inbox from multiple computers and the emails remain in the outbox which means it is on the server side and not in a cache.

Index function not working
Have a problem with a users Outlook, essentially the indexing function does not work, have tried everything I can think of and google can think of, it only seems to work in safe mode, but then when I launch with no addons it still does not work. Have tried reinstalling, profile recreation, OST repair, tweaking a few settings in outlook, recreating the index. Still got nothing, user currently using it in safe mode so they can work in the meantime.
Anyone have any solutions?

Our company upgraded from Office 2007 to Office 2013 and now only one of my .pst files is asking for a password when I try to import it. This file was never password protected. We are running Windows 7 Enterprise. The .pst file was created
in Office 2007. Can you please provide some guidance as I really need these files? Thanks!

cant drag emails
Hi there, i use outlook on my mac and i have 3 email accounts on there (all run via gmail). One account was playing up so i deleted and re-added it to the account. It now works fine apart from that I can't drag emails from my inbox of one account into the folders of another. This was previously possible before re-downloading that account which makes this problem confusing.
When i try to drag the folder i get the blue dotted line around the folder as if it's going to move but nothing happens when i drag and drop.
If i go to move folder at the top, the folders of the other accounts are greyed out.

We have several Mac computers on our workstation. We have been dependent on our mails for our daily works. Of course we have Outlook under Office 365 edition. Most of the mails

I shift deleted my .pst file folder in my D drive by mistake, i am trying to recover the data by easyrecover software but it is recovering everything except .pst files, if it recoveres it is showing 0 bytes , please help me to recover the same
